Our boys have done it again!

Yesterday, they completed the 2026 Wildlife Ranger Challenge running a 21km marathon with more than a thousand rangers from across 20 countries in Africa to raise awareness of their vital work to protect endangered primates and one of the largest remaining forest habitats in The Gambia. Big thank you to all our friends in the local communities who supported them along the route and kept them safe.

With big plans in 2027 to expand our primate monitoring and education work across the Central and Upper River Regions, please consider donating to our fundraising page using the link below before it closes on 30 September.

On behalf of Janko and his ranger team, thank you.

The C4RC rangers need your help. To all our friends who have visited and worked with us over the years, please take this moment to make your contribution towards securing the project in 2027.

The Wildlife Ranger Challenge (WRC), organised by the Tusk Trust, provides the funding we need to pay for ranger salaries and equipment next year and culminates in a marathon on the 19 September. Your donations are matched 100% to double your impact and will ensure that Meta and Buba can run the wildlife clubs, Abdou and his team can continue their anti-poaching patrols and primate monitoring, Idi can grow thousands of native trees in the nursery to regenerate the forest and Monica and Rebecca can use the project site to complete their primate MSc/PhD studies.

In a fragile and ever changing world, this group of young Gambian men and women represent hope, and provide the best chance of securing long term protection for over 1000 of the world's most threatened primates. Let's stand with them.

Thank you for your donations
