Another great evening at 2nd Alton Girls’ Brigade.

Our n:vestigate group continued exploring risk through the story of Noah, thinking about the courage it took to follow what God asked him to do, even when others laughed. They also discussed everyday risks, including those involved in preparing food, and enjoyed making fruit kebabs (which were eaten far too quickly for photos!).

Our n:gage group focused on Kindness as part of the Fruits of the Spirit. With February being Random Acts of Kindness month, the girls shared ideas for showing kindness, made paper chains filled with kind actions, and practised giving each other compliments.
A lovely evening of learning and encouraging one another.

💙 Blue Monday? Not at 2nd Alton Girls’ Brigade! 💙

Tonight our n:gage girls explored the theme of JOY! We talked about what brings us joy and how we can pass it on to others. They made Joy Jars and baked some biscuits to share, spreading a little happiness beyond our meeting room 🍪

Meanwhile, our n:vestigate group continued their storytelling theme, getting creative decorating gingerbread men and bringing their stories to life 🎄✨

Such a lovely evening of creativity, reflection and kindness...proof that joy really is better when it’s shared 💛

We’re so proud of our girls for how they represented 2nd Alton Girls’ Brigade at today’s Remembrance Day parade. They showed such respect and pride, it was lovely to see them taking part and remembering those who gave so much.

As we wrapped up our Autumn theme, we thought about how the days are getting shorter and how Jesus calls us to be lights in the darkness. All the girls made lanterns to take home as a reminder🕯️ We also had a very special visit from Speedy the tortoise before he heads off for his winter hibernation! Thank you Norma for binging him to see us! 🐢🍂

There's no GB next week due to half term so we shall see you in 2 weeks!

🍂 Our Autumn adventures continue! We learned how nature supports itself through every season — just like we can support each other. Lots of laughter during our team games, and we added our handprints to a tree to show we’re one big Girls’ Brigade family! 🌳💛
