The Hub is having problems with cover for Sunday mornings (11:00 til 13:30) and risks having to not open on Sunday mornings. Could you spare two and a half hours on a Sunday morning to help out?? Pop down and see us.

The Alston Goods Shed Trust (which runs The Hub) will be holding their Annual General Meeting at The Cumberland Hotel on Monday 23rd February at 7.00pm.
All are welcome.

Well, that time of year is fast approaching - the New Season!
'The Hub' will open for visitors on Good Friday 3rd April and will be open over the Easter Holiday. After that we mirror the Railway opening days as closely as possible.

If you've visited us before, we'd love to see you again. If you've never visited then you don't know what you're missing!

We still need volunteers (some things never change) so if you are able to spare 2 or 3 hours a week (or more) come and talk to us. The work is not hard and you get to meets loads of lovely people.

THE HUB Museum will CLOSE for the season end on SUNDAY 26th October.
We expect to re-open at Easter next year.
We thank all our visitors for their patronage and support and we hope to see you all again in 2026.

During the summer we will be opening on days when the South Tynedale Railway are running trains. This means that in addition to Saturdays and Sundays we will be open for probably two days midweek. As the railway vary their midweek running days according to volunteer availability, it is advisable to check their website to see if we will be open too.
