💗 ISLA’S ARMY – MAKING A DIFFERENCE, TOGETHER 💗

We wanted to take a moment to share with everyone what your incredible support and fundraising efforts have helped us achieve so far. 🩷

The Teenage & Young Adult (T.Y.A.) Unit at the Beatson has now received an amazing £53,691.90 from Isla’s Army! 🎀

This money helps support teenagers through one of the hardest fights of their lives. Cancer takes away so much of what should be the normal teenage experience, so we want to help bring a little bit of normality, comfort and happiness into their lives. 💕

✨ WHAT YOUR SUPPORT HAS HELPED PROVIDE ✨

🩷 Fun Fridays, including Just Eat and Deliveroo vouchers, giving teenagers a little treat and something to look forward to.

🩷 Day beds, allowing parents to stay close to their children during those difficult hospital stays.

🩷 A freezer stocked with healthy, tasty food, ready for whenever someone fancies something to eat.

These might seem like little things that many of us take for granted, but when you’re a teenager facing cancer, nothing feels normal. Sometimes, it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. 💗

AND THAT’S NOT ALL! 🎀

Separate from the £55,485.90 donated directly to the unit, Isla’s Army has also funded:

💗 Over 9 sweet and drinks drops, costing an average of £750 per drop.

💗 Netflix for 10 devices, bringing entertainment and a little escape during long hospital stays.

💗 Internet boosters to help keep everyone connected.

💗 A Nintendo Switch and lots of games, bringing fun, laughter and precious moments away from hospital life.

Every penny raised, every event organised, every donation made and every person who has supported us has helped make these things possible. 🩷

As Isla’s parents, knowing that her name continues to make a difference to other young people and their families means more to us than words could ever explain.

Isla’s Army is about fighting for change, bringing comfort and making a difference when families need it most. 💗
