Once you’ve seen a cat trying to survive quietly, it is hard to look away and pretend it doesn’t matter.

Rescue does not always look big. Sometimes it is one meal. One safe corner. One small act that tells a frightened cat, “You don’t have to keep doing this alone.”

We may not be able to help every cat today.
But the one in front of us still matters.

HUGE NEWS AND HEARTFELT THANKS..🐾

For many months, we’ve wanted to open our very own shop.

As many of you know, our vet bills are constantly sky-high, costing thousands of pounds every month.

Every single penny we raise goes straight toward paying those bills and ensuring every cat and kitten in our care gets the love and medical attention they deserve.

Because of this, saving up enough extra capital to actually open a shop always felt just out of reach.

Every time we were close to having enough, a high cost cat crisis would occur and we’d be back to square one.

But now we have news……

We applied for the incredible Pen y Cymoedd Wind Farm Community Fund CIC Micro Fund Grant... and we were SUCCESSFUL! 🥂🎉

This amazing grant means our dream is finally becoming a reality.

By funding our shop opening, Pen Y Cymoedd is helping us take a massive step toward becoming more self-sufficient and ensuring we can keep rescuing cats for years to come.

But this isn't just about the kitties—it's about our community too! The shop will bring wonderful new volunteering and training opportunities to the area also. Something we are hugely keen on here.

😻Introducing: Moggies Boutique – Rescued & Reloved😻 (Just like our cats!)

Opening this July and based in Aberdare town centre, our boutique will feature beautifully curated homeware and gorgeous preloved clothing.

Not only will you be supporting the rescue, but you’ll also be helping the planet by keeping clothing and household items out of landfills.

Sustainable shopping at its finest! 🌍💚

🔨 Where we are at right now...

Behind the scenes, we’ve been working our paws off! There is so much hard work already underway—building, decorating, installing counters, fixtures, fittings, and even a brand-new doorstep and door.

A quick note on donations: We know you're probably eager to clear out your wardrobes for us (and we love you for it!), but we are NOT currently accepting donations just yet. We will let you know the exact moment we are ready to receive your wonderful items!

Sausage and Chips. This lively pair were adopted last year by a lovely family. ❤️

And not a day has gone by when these boys haven’t been up to extreme mischief!😂😂😂

Both are absolutely adored. 😻😻

They love their mum, dad and big sister/ best friend/ Cat Whisperer, Ella!❤️❤️

Sausage and Chips recently had their first birthday. 🎉🥳🎁

Well and truly settled and we love the updates.

And she's done it - ANOTHER happy ending!
The fabulous Cora has bagged herself a brilliant new home! Cora was scavenging for food when a kind family got in contact to say they were feeding her and that she was skinny and very matted. So Moggies Cat Rescue Aberdare - EilDor waved its magic wand, brought her in and magicked her a home!! Well, almost like that!

DYLAN! A happy ending for Moggies Cat Rescue Aberdare - EilDor .
Diagnosed as Felv positive, Dylan arrived with us as a stray. He needed a home on his own and he found it with a lovely gentleman. Dylan has a heart murmur and his new person also has a heart problem so he sees Dylan as a kindred spirit!

Little Daphne’s went to see the incredibly talented team at Honddu Veterinary Practice this morning.

Our darling young Daphne has a small mass/ growth in her mouth. That has now been removed and sent away for tests.

She is otherwise happy, healthy, full of life and glad to be back home with the team.

We’ll keep you posted when her results are back.
