Moggies Cat Rescue Aberdare - EilDor Not for profit registered charity (1209699) cat and kitten rescue, based in Aberdare, South Wales. A very small, but very dedicated team of volunteers.

UPDATE: BRAVEHEART❤️

Our brave boy had his post-op checkup with our vets at Honddu Veterinary Practice today, and they are very pleased with his healing indeed!

His stitches come out next week! 🎉

Looking at him snuggle up so contentedly, it’s hard to put into words what your support means.

Every single person who donated, shared his posts, or sent kind thoughts made moments like this possible.

You didn’t just fund his surgery—you gave this precious lad his life back, free from pain and filled with love.

Thank you, from the absolute bottom of our hearts, to everyone who backed Braveheart.

Look who’s feeling so much better! 🐾😻

We wanted to share a really positive update on our handsome boy, Braveheart!

As you can see, he’s in fantastic spirits, showing off that big yawn, and taking his recovery completely in his stride.

His surgical site is healing up so neatly, and he has been absolute perfection throughout his whole recovery process.

He’s off to Honddu Veterinary Practice tomorrow for his very first post-op checkup to make sure everything is progressing just as beautifully as it looks!

He is enjoying:

Evening all.

We know many of you have been waiting for news and updates on Braveheart. He is doing very well indeed.

We’ve been caught up with another horrible emergency case.

Due to the nature of this case and ongoing issues, we are currently unable to share specific photos, names, or detailed updates publicly.

Protecting the integrity of this process has to come first, as much as we want to share everything with you.

What we can say is that we are once again facing a massive veterinary bill—between £4,000 and £6,000—for a single, poor cat, entirely due to preventable, severe neglect and people failing to provide basic care.

It is utterly heartbreaking, infuriating, and exhausting.

As a small, voluntary rescue, absorbing costs of this scale places an incredible strain on our resources, but we will always step up and fight for an animal when they have nowhere else to turn.

We will share full details and updates as soon as we are permitted to do so. Thank you to everyone who continues to support us through these relentless, tough cases. We couldn't keep going without you.

Braveheart’s Daily Update: Kissing Therapy in Full Swing! 🐾💋

If you’ve been wondering how our brave boy Braveheart is settling in during his post-surgery recovery, we an update to share...

It turns out Doreen Miller is using her tried and tested: Kissing Therapy! 😽💕

As you can see, Braveheart is taking to his new care plan remarkably well.

Not that he has much choice with Doz.😘

Thank you all so much for your ongoing love, and support for his recovery.

He is feeling more loved every single day! 🐾❤️

LOST DOG: afternoon all. We spotted a dog walking on its own along Canal Road, Cwmbach CF44.

Heading away from the canal path.

Light coloured dog, quite big, possibly a Cavapoo or that sort of breed.

The dog was wearing a collar but, despite repeated sightings we were not able to get close enough to catch the dog/ check the collar/ scan for a chip.

The dog was seen running across Canal Road into the path of a van and a car. It was not hit and made it up onto Timothy Place, onto Rhiw Ceris, up to the Lambeth and then back down the same route. We lost sight of the dog in the flats on Pant Y Cerdin.

Thank you to the very kind lady and her daughter who went massively out of their way to assist in catching this lovely dog.

Resistance was completely futile! 🐾😂

These tiny spitty hiss-machines thought they could put up a fight at Moggies Cat Rescue Aberdare - EilDor, but they clearly underestimated our Doreen.

They came in acting like fierce little warriors, only to be completely disarmed by affection and non-negotiable smooches. 💋✨

Fast-forward through a relentless barrage of forehead kisses, and look at them now—absolutely resigned to their fate.

They’ve realized they love being handled, snuggled, and cwtched (not that Doreen was giving them much choice anyway!).

From spicy spicy spicy to sweet snuggle bums in just a few hours.

Again, a massive thank you to the lady who called about about these kittens and mum. By feeding them and spending time with them, she had already done most of the hard work of getting them to understand that not all humans are dreadful.❤️

Happy Bank Holiday Monday !! Braveheart slept very well, enjoyed his breakfast, mid morning snack and pre-lunch mini lun...
