Women empowerment means giving women the strength, freedom, and opportunity to make their own choices and achieve their dreams. When women are supported, educated, and respected, they can lead, inspire, and create positive change in families, communities, and the world. Empowered women empower the world.

On this International Women’s Day, we celebrate the incredible women who give so much in every part of life; at home, in communities, in workplaces, and in quiet acts of love and service.
The theme “Give to Gain” reminds us that the strength of a woman is often seen in what she gives: her kindness, wisdom, courage, faith, and support to others. Through giving, she builds families, uplifts communities, and inspires the next generation.
The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 31:25: “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.” This verse reflects the heart of so many women who continue to rise with faith, resilience, and grace.
Today we honor and appreciate all women mothers, daughters, sisters, leaders, caregivers, mentors, and friends. Your strength, sacrifices, and compassion do not go unnoticed.
May God continue to bless and strengthen every woman who gives so much to make the world a better place.
Happy International Women’s Day.

This International Women’s Day, I’m proud to stand as a young woman from Yap, Federal State of Micronesia (FSM) and part of the Pacific Youth Climate Mobility community. My island is my home, my identity, and my future.

As Pacific youth, we are raising our voices and fighting to protect our islands, our cultures, and the generations to come. Our home, no matter how small, is worth fighting for.

My name is Aniita Mack, I’m 24 years old, proudly from Kiribati and Rabi Island, and I’m currently in my third year as an Industrial Arts Secondary School Teacher at St Joseph’s Secondary School, teaching Technical Drawing and Applied Technology, a field that has traditionally been dominated by men.
On this International Women’s Day, I want to remind every young woman and girl that your place is wherever your passion leads you. Whether it’s in workshops, classrooms, engineering spaces, or leadership roles, you belong there.
To the girls who may feel unsure about stepping into spaces where women are few: be brave enough to try. Your ideas, your creativity, can break barriers and your determination can inspire the next generation.

I’m proud to stand as a woman in education, empowering students through technical skills and innovation, and I’m proud to represent women from Kiribati and Rabi Island. Showing that where we come from does not limit where we can go.
Let us continue to support, uplift, and inspire one another.

🟠 Day 15 – 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence

Nearly 1 in 3 women worldwide have experienced physical or sexual violence in their lifetime. This staggering reality underscores the urgency of today’s message from Ms. Etsuko Inoue, Project Development Officer at IOM Fiji.

Violence against women and girls is not inevitable, it is preventable.

At IOM - UN Migration, we are committed to addressing the root causes of gender-based violence and supporting survivors through inclusive, rights-based approaches.

Together, we can build a future where every woman and girl lives free from fear, harm and discrimination.
