Course descriptions:
Brazilian Enchantments
Cris Ferronato invites participants to engage in experiential practices that weave together vocal music, dance, and rhythms from Brazil’s popular cultures. We move through poetic, sacred, and profane dimensions in collective experiences of movement, creation, and listening.
In these "enchantments", forest, river, "terreiro", and popular festivity converge, turning music into a territory of encounter, expanded perception, and transformation.
Through sound we are one
Puro Paju takes us on a journey across borders, a transcultural exploration of sounds, melodies and rhythms. We use our bodies and voices, but also instruments, ensemble playing and co-creative approaches.
We learn inspiring tunes from around the world representing diverse aesthetics and contemplate on how we can come together across cultures and perspectives respectfully through sharing sounds with each other.
