European Locksmith Federation

European Locksmith Federation ELF is the Federation of European national locksmith associations. It was founded in 1984 by Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway, Sweden and
the U.K.

Today there are 18 national associations representing 1800 companies, 12,500 locksmiths and 17 supporting manufacturers/distributors. The organisation is made up of a board of 18 directors (one from each national association) that elects a president every two years. ELF is divided to four regions: Southern, Western, Northern and Eastern Region. Four regional managers run their own regions. The reg

ions elect the managers among themselves. The office is located in Helsinki. Each year, ELF hosts an annual convention in one of the member countries with an exhibition, education classes and social events. ELF has two board meetings annually.
