Annual Founding Members Day — Minhaj-ul-Quran International Denmark

The Annual Founding Members Day of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Denmark was held with great reverence and respect at its headquarters. The event was marked by a profound sense of emotion, gratitude, and unity. A large number of participants attended and paid heartfelt tribute to the founding members.

The ceremony commenced with a soulful recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Qari Muhammad Nadeem Akhtar. This was followed by a naat (poetry in praise of the Prophet ﷺ) presented by Muhammad Rashid Bhatti, which filled the gathering with spiritual warmth. The hosting responsibilities were carried out excellently by Hafiz Sajjad Ahmad, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran North West.

Afterward, the founding members were invited to share their reflections. Distinguished personalities who expressed their thoughts included: Sheikh Muhammad Ashfaq Sb, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar Sb, Rai Muhammad Zubair Sb, Bashir Ahmad Nazmi Sb, Raja Muhammad Zubair Sb, Haji Muhammad Farooq Sb, Imam Javed Akhtar Sb, Sadiq Baig Sb, Muhammad Bostan Sb, Sufi Muzaffar Hussain Sb, Muhammad Akram Jora Sb, Haji Faiz Rasool Sb, Ghulam Mohiuddin Sb, and Rana Muhammad Ishaq Sb.

Among the women participants, Mrs. Muhammad Ashraf Uppal, Mrs. Haji Muhammad Najeeb, Mrs. Raja Muhammad Afzal, and Mrs. Zahoor Ahmad also shared their impressions and reaffirmed their commitment to the mission.

President of the Minhaj European Council, Bilal Uppal Sb congratulated all founding members in his address and paid tribute to their remarkable sacrifices — of time, wealth, and tireless effort. His speech deeply resonated with the audience and highlighted the عظمت (greatness) of the founding members’ contributions.

President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Denmark, Qaisar Zubair Najeeb Sb, addressed the younger generation in particular. He emphasized the importance of understanding the sacrifices and services of the elders. He noted that the current success of Minhaj-ul-Quran Denmark is the result of the dedication, sincerity, and vision of its founding members. He advised the youth to eliminate negative attitudes, adopt truthfulness, and become sincerely committed to the mission.

The most significant segment of the event was the tribute to the founding members. Senior members recalled the early days when resources were limited but enthusiasm was extraordinary. Their reflections were filled with emotion — tears and smiles — reflecting that today’s achievements are the result of immense sacrifices, prayers, and sincerity.

The ceremony concluded with a collective prayer for the global progress and stability of Minhaj-ul-Quran. Special prayers were offered for the departed founding members, as well as for the health and well-being of the founder and patron, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.

At the end, a lavish dinner was served for the participants.

This event not only honored the founding members but also conveyed a powerful message to the new generation: to renew their commitment and actively engage with the mission.

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Tahir ul Qadri presides Meet & Greet with MQI Denmark in Oslo – A Historic Gathering

On Friday, 3rd April 2026, a heartwarming Meet & Greet session was held at Minhaj-ul-Quran International Norway in Oslo, bringing together members of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Denmark for a truly inspiring evening.

A delegation from Denmark gathered in unity and devotion, joined by the esteemed presence of Shaykh ul Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri The gathering was filled with spiritual warmth and a strong sense of brotherhood.

At this beautiful occasion, Shaykh-ul-Islam warmly welcomed the delegation from Denmark to Oslo, expressing his appreciation for their dedication and unity. His Golden organisational advice opened the doors of the hearts and minds.

The event was excellently facilitated by Hafiz Sajad Ahmed, Vice President, ensuring a smooth and engaging program. The evening began with a beautiful recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Qari Wallait Sb, followed by heartfelt naat recitations by Ammar Uppal and the Valby Naat Group, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere.

A key highlight of the evening was the presentation by Qaisar Najeeb, President of MQI Denmark, who shared a comprehensive progress report along with a strategic vision for the future. This was followed by Shahnawaz Uppal, General Secretary, who presented a detailed status report covering the performance and development of various forums.

The Meet & Greet session concluded as a memorable and uplifting gathering, strengthening the bond between members and leadership, and reaffirming the collective mission and vision of Minhaj-ul-Quran.

*Spiritual Gathering on the Blessed Night of Laylat al-Qadr at Minhaj-ul-Quran International Denmark*

A blessed and spiritually uplifting gathering was held at the center of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Denmark on the occasion of Laylat al-Qadr, following the Tarawih prayers.

This year marked a proud and joyful moment for Minhaj-ul-Quran Denmark, as ten Huffaz (memorizers of the Holy Qur’an) participated in leading the 20 rak‘ahs of Tarawih prayers throughout the blessed month of Ramadan. An exceptional addition this year was the completion of Tarawih prayers at the Shaykh-ul-Islam Spiritual Center, located at the same venue.

Under the supervision of Hafiz Sajjad Ahmed, President of MQI Nordvest the proceedings began with the Khatm al-Qur’an ceremony, formally inaugurated with a beautiful recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Qari Muhammad Nadeem Akhtar.

During the spiritual gathering, Hafiz Farhad, Rashid Bhatti, Kashif Khan, and Muhammad Asif presented melodious na‘at (poetry in praise of the Holy Prophet ﷺ), which spiritually uplifted and refreshed the faith of the attendees. Allama Faiz Rasool, Vice President of MQI North West, also presented devotional poetry in his unique and heartfelt style in honor of the Holy Prophet ﷺ.

Following this, all the Huffaz were honored with flowers and gifts in recognition of their dedication to the Qur’an. Additionally, the children who regularly attended the Tarawih prayers during Ramadan were presented with chocolates and gifts, serving as a wonderful motivational gesture to encourage community engagement and inspire the younger generation.

On this occasion, Qaisar Zubair Najeeb, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Denmark, addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of remaining connected with the mission of Minhaj-ul-Quran. He emphasized that it is essential to actively engage and connect our younger generation with this mission, as it serves as a source of guidance and goodness for the future, helping them remain steadfast in their faith.

Sibghat Riaz, President of Minhaj Welfare Foundation Denmark, also presented a detailed overview of the various projects of Minhaj Welfare Foundation and informed the participants about the organization’s humanitarian and social welfare activities.

Later, Allama Nasir Qayyum Khan Hazari (a graduate of Minhaj University Lahore) delivered an inspiring speech on the topic of repentance (Tawbah). He reminded the audience that Allah Almighty is Most Merciful and Most Forgiving, and that whoever sincerely seeks forgiveness for their sins will surely be granted pardon by Allah.

Following the speech, a gathering of Dhikr (remembrance of Allah) was held, during which special prayers were offered for the peace, unity, and well-being of entire mankind.

A short break followed, during which tea and refreshments were served. Afterward, the participants collectively performed Salat al-Tasbih.

Concluding, Allama Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Idrees Al-Azhari made a heartfelt concluding supplication (du‘a), bringing this blessed and spiritually enriching gathering to a close.

*Laylat al-Qadr - En velsignet og spirituel nat vi ikke må gå glip af*

Alhamdulillah er vi igen blevet velsignet med endnu en af de ulige nætter i Ramadans sidste ti nætter – en nat som potentielt kan være Laylat al-Qadr, natten der er bedre end tusind måneder.

I den anledning vil vi gerne invitere jer til at komme og tilbringe natten sammen med os i et af vores centre. Vi samles om ibadah, dhikr, korte påmindelser og fælles dua i håb om at opnå belønning fra denne velsignede nat og søge Allahs nærhed. Alle er hjerteligt velkomne.

Må Allah acceptere vores handlinger og lade os være blandt dem, der opnår Laylat al-Qadr og dens store velsignelser.

Minhaj ul Quran Danmark melder sig ud af Dansk Muslimsk Union (DMU)

København, den 25. november 2025

Minhaj ul Quran Danmark har truffet beslutning om at melde sig ud af Dansk Muslimsk Union (DMU), idet vi fortsætter vores dialog- og samfundsfremmende arbejde som en selvstændig organisation.

Vi takker formandsskabet i DMU for det mangeårige samarbejde, og ønsker dem held og lykke fremover.
