LOCAL COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

AUSA has 125 chapters located worldwide. Made up entirely of volunteers, they provide recreational and educational opportunities to Soldiers and their families. Most importantly, they support our deployed Soldiers and families left behind. AUSA and its' chapters have contributed over $2,000,000 to awards, scholarships, and support of soldier and family programs. EDUCATION

Grassroots support for America's Army can only come when people know and understand the value of the Army to the nation. AUSA accomplishes this through its various chapters, our Institute of Land Warfare, Industry Affairs meetings & events, and our Government Affairs office. PROFESSIONAL BENEFITS

AUSA wants to become your professional association. As an Army professional, you need to keep current on issues that affect you in the work place. AUSA is the only organization in existence that offers educational material and events designed specifically to educate you about these issues. AUSA is open to all Army ranks and all components -- including Active, National Guard, Army Reserve -- Government civilians, retirees, Wounded Warriors, Veterans, concerned citizens and family members. Indeed AUSA welcomes anyone who subscribes to the philosophy of a strong national defense with special concern for the Army. Community businesses and defense industry companies are also welcome to join AUSA.

Chapter Newsletter!

As my four-year term as President of the GEN C.W. Abrams Chapter comes to a close, I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. These past four years have been an absolute privilege serving as your Chapter President. I felt honored to take over from David Fulton and grateful for the opportunity to learn from him during the years I served as his Vice President. I also want to thank all of the chapter presidents who came before me and helped build the foundation we stand on today.

From Remagen to Fulda, and from Wiesbaden to Heidelberg, we built an extraordinary team of professionals who shared the same values and commitment to making our community better and supporting the United States Army. Together, we accomplished more than I ever imagined and made a meaningful impact across our community.

There are so many memories I will always hold close to my heart: the smiles of little girls spinning across the dance floor with their fathers at our Father Daughter Galas; Soldiers taking photos in the Band of Brothers foxholes in Bastogne or running up Lieutenant Speirs' road in Foy during our battlefield tours; seeing our team proudly wearing matching AUSA jerseys at community events while sharing the story of our organization; watching GEN Brown drive a golf cart around our golf scramble to personally greet players; laying GEN Patton's boots on his grave in Luxembourg alongside SMA Dailey; and, of course, celebrating our successes each year in Washington, D.C., with the AUSA National team and meeting some of the Army's greatest leaders.

What a privilege. What a ride.

Thank you all for your support, friendship, and dedication over these past four years. Our success was never about one person. It was about an incredible team of volunteers, leaders, members, partners, and friends working together to make a difference. I am forever grateful to have been part of it.

Most of all, thank you for allowing me to be part of this incredible journey. The friendships, memories, and experiences will stay with me forever, and I will always be proud of what we accomplished together as a chapter.

Had a fantastic evening at our monthly networking social at the PentaHotel! It was great to see such a strong mix of longtime members, new faces, and young professionals all coming together to connect, share ideas, and build relationships across our military community.

A special thank you to Hot Mic for providing the soundtrack to the evening. Their music brought everyone together and created an incredible atmosphere of camaraderie, conversation, and fun.

Events like these are a great reminder of the strength of our community and the value of making connections that extend beyond the workplace.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

A big congratulations and thank you to our newest Life Member, Jose!

Jose is a MSG in the Reserves, a dedicated DA Civilian, a great friend, and such a strong supporter of our chapter and community. We are truly grateful for his continued support and service to our Army. Tonight, he received his Life Membership packet at our monthly networking social, and it was great being able to recognize him.

And as an awesome bonus to the night, his father who is visiting treated us all to a mariachi song during the event, and it was absolutely fantastic! It brought such a fun and memorable energy to the evening.

Thank you again Jose, and welcome as a Life Member! 👏🏻

The AUSA GEN C.W. Abrams Chapter was honored to participate in the annual Last Border Patrol commemoration at Point Alpha, hosted by the Point Alpha Foundation.

This meaningful event commemorates the final border patrol conducted by Soldiers at Point Alpha during the Cold War and was especially significant as it took place on May 8th, the anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe.

Our Chapter President was humbled to be invited to serve as the keynote speaker for the ceremony. The remarks reflected on the Soldiers who served at Point Alpha, their sacrifice, vigilance, and commitment during one of history’s most tense periods, while also emphasizing the importance of preserving their legacy for future generations.

We are deeply grateful for the outstanding partnership and continued support from the Point Alpha Foundation. Their dedication to preserving Cold War history and educating visitors about the significance of Point Alpha ensures that the stories of those who served there will never be forgotten. Events like this are a powerful reminder of the importance of remembrance, international friendship, and historical preservation.

It was also an honor to be joined by distinguished guests Brian Heath, U.S. Consul General in Frankfurt, and Consul for Politics and Economy Courtney Mazzone, from the U.S. Consul General in Leipzig.

A special thank you to our chapter team for organizing an outstanding living history display during the event. Their hard work, historical knowledge, and dedication added a unique and immersive element to the commemoration and helped bring the Cold War era history of Point Alpha to life for attendees.
