It is our aim to offer you an unforgettable time at the University of Siegen - following the principle 'students helping students'! Students living and studying in and around Siegen helping international students to get to know Siegen and have a time they will never forget. Our history:
- April 2016: start with Exchange Students Siegen ('ESSI')
- Winter term 2016: first support of exchange student

We’re halfway through the semester! How many ESN events have you joined?

On the 14th of June, we have another KEY to a perfect semester! 🔑 Keep your exchange memories close to you at times. Join us for a chill afternoon of Keychain Crafting. 🤩 Let’s create personalized and lovingly-crafted keychains- perfect for a cute souvenir, a charm for your bag, or a gift for a friend back home. We will each create our design such as cartoon characters, an animal, spring or summer vibes, and many more.

✨ Why join us?
🎨 Zero Cleanup: We will provide all the materials.
☕ The Vibe: Cozy atmosphere, maybe make new friends or just be present without any awkward icebreakers.
🧸 No Skills Needed: If you can make ball out of a clay, that’s a start to make something cute!

Our running club has reached its one year anniversary, and we can’t miss the chance to celebrate it with everyone who has been a part of it since the beginning! 🥳

On this occasion, we’ll have a special run, followed by a picnic at the Panzerwiese. 🥪🧺 The run will be around 5-6 kilometers and will include refreshment breaks with drinks for everyone 🧃
We prepared some surprises for you, so be sure to join if you want to enjoy the amazing vibes with us ✨

All the snacks we need for the picnic, as well as drinks (soft drinks and beer) will be provided by us, so you just need to show up on time in sport clothes and enjoy the fun! 🏃‍♀️‍➡️

Don’t have anything planned for Sunday? No problem! Join ESN Siegen for our trip to Altena! 🥾

Altena is a town in the Sauerland region known for its castle, Burg Altena. The castle is one of the most important medieval fortresses in Germany and offers insights into medieval life and history 🏰
Our program: We will start at Siegen ZOB at around 10:15 and take the train to the city of Altena, where we use the lift to go up to the castle. Afterwards, we will visit the castle and the museum to take a look at castle construction, knight armor and many more medieval artifacts. For an additional 2,50 euros, you can purchase an audio guide to find out more about the castle! After the program, feel free to explore the city for as long as you wish.
Do not forget your Deutschland ticket and a valid ID! Please note that pictures may be taken and published at this event!

We’re partnering with the Siegen Sentinels to bring American football all the way to you in Siegen 🌎🏈 Join us for the American tradition of hosting a tailgate at the first game of the season, then watch an exciting game of football… and the game will be completely for free for anyone who joins the tailgate before 1PM! 🤩

👉 What is a tailgate?
It’s one of the most beloved traditions in America! A tailgate is a pre-game celebration for the team and the fans to get excited for the match together, and this tailgate will also include a meet & greet with the Sentinels players. So be sure to start the fun early with us and don’t miss it 👀

👉 What can I expect at the tailgate?
Music, food, drinks, games, fun, and great energy! You’ll even be able to meet the Sentinel’s professional football players at 12PM. ⚡️
Food and drinks will be available for purchase, so bring some cash. Carrying in your own is not allowed. 🧺🥂

👉 How can I enter the stadium for free?
Just arrive to the tailgate before 1PM to receive a stamp that will enable you to get into the game for free!

ESN Siegen: International Food Crawl 🌍🍽️

Ever wanted to spend an evening full of great food, meaningful conversations, and meeting people from all over the world in Siegen?
Then join our International Food Crawl: A social dinner experience where you don’t just sit at one table, but move through the city, discover new apartments, and share a meal with new people at every stop.
It’s one of the easiest (and honestly most fun) ways to meet new friends, try international food, and experience student life in a unique way!

How does it work?
You sign up as a team of 2 people.
Each team prepares one course in their own apartment/WG:
🥗Starter
🍝Main Course
🍰Dessert

During the evening, you’ll visit different apartments and meet a new group of people at every stop.
Each dinner table consists of 3 teams (6 people total) sharing a meal together.

What you can expect:
🌍 New people at every course
🍴 Different kitchens & homes
🍲 International food & cooking styles
💬 Lots of great conversations

Schedule
The evening is split into 3 rounds:
6 pm Starter → 7:45 pm Main Course → 9:30pm Dessert

Between each round, there is time to travel to your next location (with max. 20 minutes walking/travel time).
After dessert, you’re welcome to join the optional bar meetup to keep the night going 🍻

- 👯 This time you register together as a team! 1 team = 2 people = 1 registration
- Each team will host one course in their apartment/WG
- Please include any allergies or dietary restrictions during registration (e.g. vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free, lactose-free, allergies)

After registration, we will send you your personal itinerary with all important details.
