Last Thursday, we wrapped up after six intensive days exploring fluorescence microscopy. 🎉

A big thank you to everyone who joined us at the EMBO | EMBL Symposium 'Cellular mechanisms driven by phase separation'. 🦠🔬

Over four days, we had engaging discussions spanning condensates in signalling, genome organisation, disease, and the physical principles underlying intracellular phase transitions – alongside plenty of opportunities to spark new collaborations, reconnect with colleagues, and simply enjoy spending time together as a community.

The EMBO Workshop 'Brain (epi)genome' welcomed 138 on-site and 92 virtual participants from 21 – 24 April 2026.

In March, we welcomed more than 130 on-site and virtual participants to the symposium to explore the complexities of symbiosis.
