AEGEE Heidelberg is one of the oldest locals in the network of AEGEE, Europe's largest interdisciplinary student association.

AEGEE was born over 30 years ago with the vision of creating a unified Europe, based on democracy and a respect for human rights, bringing together students with different cultural backgrounds. Today, AEGEE is Europe’s largest interdisciplinary youth organisation: 40 countries, 200 cities, 13 000 friends. This network provides the ideal platform for young volunteers to work together on cross-borde

r activities such as international conferences, seminars, exchanges, training courses and case study trips. In line with the challenges young people are currently facing in Europe, AEGEE’s work is focused on three main areas: Youth Participation, Bridging Europe and Inclusion of Minorities.

🚂 Choo choo, it's _Europe on Track_ time!

❓What is Europe on Track?

It’s a travelling project by AEGEE. Every year, a team of volunteers travels through Europe by train, stopping in different cities to run workshops, start conversations, and collect young people’s perspectives on a shared topic.

This year’s topic: eco-anxiety 🌱🫨

Climate change is real, and it's scary. Often, it can feel overwhelming and we feel helpless in the face of the massive task ahead of us. But we don’t have to stay stuck in fear or doomscrolling. Over two days, we’ll explore how to turn climate concern into something more creative, practical, and collective through ideas, storytelling, discussion, and action.

‼️ No sign-up is needed for the events, simply show up at the time and place shown in the slides. You can join as many or few program points as you like, whatever fits your schedule.

There’ll also be time to just meet people, hang out, and enjoy Heidelberg together. 🧺🏰🔥

Join us this Thursday for a hike in the Käfertaler forest! ☀️🌳

Enjoy the public holiday of Corpus Christi by going on a relaxed hike in this forest next to Mannheim. There's enclosures of wild animals (deer etc.) to watch, a Kneippbecken (shallow pool), Minigolf, bird watching, and other activities to enjoy 😎🦌
