Let’s Sew Some Love! 💖

After donating all the heart pillows we made last year, it’s time to come together and create even more in 2026! We’re teaming up again for the 3rd time with students at Schiller University Campus in Bahnstadt for a fun, hands-on sewing session—cutting, stitching, stuffing, and finishing these special pillows.
No sewing skills? No problem! Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a sewing whiz or just eager to help. Together, we’ll make as many heart pillows as possible to donate to NCT Heidelberg.

For our June monthly meeting, we’re taking things outdoors!

We’ll start with a visit to the newly opened Climate Garden in Bergheim-Heidelberg, where we’ll explore how a green space built on top of a parking garage can be designed sustainably and with the future in mind in times of climate change.

Afterwards, we’ll take a short walk across the street to one of the nearby NeckarOrte (public spaces along the Neckar River) and enjoy a relaxed picnic together as the sun begins to set. Please bring some snacks and drinks to share.

The last monthly meeting in May focused on the popular topic of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

A special thank you to our member, Jeanette Rogers, for her informative presentation and for sharing valuable insights into the world of AI. It was fascinating to learn that many of us have been using AI in our everyday lives for more than two decades, often without realizing it.

A key message from the session was the importance of using AI responsibly and always taking the time to verify and fact-check the information it generates.

This month, our dinner club gathered at an Iranian restaurant in Mannheim called Bustan. Alongside the delicious Iranian food, we shared lots of laughs, talked about new ideas, got to know each other better, and wrapped up the evening with great memories and even better vibes.

A big thanks again to the organizers for being so open to suggestions and always willing to try new places.

If you haven’t joined the dinner club yet, you’re definitely missing out on a great gathering!
