Sometimes, the most important thing isn't having the right answer. It's knowing how to respond. 🤍

When someone opens up about exploitation, a simple question can make all the difference.

Instead of asking, “Why didn't you just leave?” try asking, “Are you safe right now?”

Listen without judgment. Offer support without pressure. And remember, someone trusting you with their story doesn't mean you need to have all the answers.

That's what the Freedom PomPom reminds us of: carrying compassion into our conversations and passing that awareness forward.

🤍Who would you pass the Freedom PomPom to? Tag someone who leads with kindness.

Her story didn't end with survival. It became a voice for change. 🤍

Once an award-winning journalist in Nigeria, Bukola Oriola survived labor trafficking and domestic abuse in the United States. But she refused to let those experiences define the rest of her story.

Through The Enitan Story, she has worked to empower survivors, advocate for their rights, and ensure their voices are part of the conversations that shape policies and futures.

Because freedom is more than escaping exploitation. It's having the support, opportunities, and power to build a life beyond it.

🤍 Listen to survivors. Support their futures. Make room for their leadership.

Big change doesn't always begin with big actions. 🤍

Sometimes, it begins with paying attention, asking the right question, or having a conversation that matters.

That's what our little Freedom PomPom stands for. A reminder that awareness can travel from one person to another, and even the smallest gesture can spark something meaningful.

Because every conversation has the potential to create a ripple of change.

🤍If the Freedom PomPom were in your hands, who would you pass it to? Tag them below!

$236 billion. Every year.

That’s the estimated illegal profit generated from forced labour in the private economy.

But this isn’t only a statistic about money. It shows why exploitation can be so difficult to dismantle: there is profit in keeping it going.

Behind that number are people whose freedom, work and earnings are being exploited.

So don’t just ask how big the number is.

Ask who profits. Who pays. And what needs to change.

Notice the system, not just the statistic. 🤍

Did the $236B figure surprise you?

Stop offering survivors sympathy. Offer them power.

At 8, Malaika Oringo dreamed of speaking at the United Nations.
Years later, she made it happen. But she didn't stand at that podium for pity,
she stood there to rewrite the rules.

Survivors aren't just stories to be heard. They are leaders equipped to shape what comes next.

From survivor. To advocate. To global voice.

It’s time to stop talking about survivors and start listening to them.
Make space for them to lead. 🤍

Every mission starts somewhere.

Sometimes it’s just one conversation, one person listening, one person choosing to pass it on.

That’s how awareness moves.
That’s how small actions become something bigger.

Notice. Talk. Share. Act. 🤍

The mission moves when we do.

Being a migrant worker isn’t the problem. Exploitation is.

ILO estimates show that migrant workers face around 3× the risk of forced labour compared with non-migrant workers.

But the number only tells part of the story.

Unfair recruitment. Weak protection. Limited ability to exercise rights. Control over movement or documents.

Sometimes the real warning signs are in the conditions surrounding the work.
Notice the conditions. Not just the worker. 🤍

Ima Matul turned survival into something bigger: a voice for others.

From survivor advocate to one of the first members of the U.S. Advisory Council on Human Trafficking, she helped bring lived experience into the rooms where policy is shaped.

Listen to survivors. Value lived experience. Build with, not just for. 🤍

Change doesn’t start big. It starts with this single action.

Sometimes all it takes is one person noticing. One conversation. One message passed along.
Then someone else picks up the torch.
That’s how awareness spreads.
That’s how momentum builds.
That’s how a mission stays alive.

Notice. Talk. Share. Pass it on.

You don't need a massive platform to make a real difference; you just need to start the movement.

Save this to remind yourself, and share it to pass the message on today.

Sometimes the person behind the scam isn’t the person in control.

Trafficking-fuelled scam centres can create two layers of harm: the person being defrauded, and the person who may have been deceived, trafficked and forced to carry out the fraud.

That doesn’t mean every scammer is a victim. But it does mean the story can be more complicated than what we see on the screen.

A fake job offer can become coercion.

A promising opportunity can become forced criminality.

Look beyond the screen. Notice the control. Understand the whole story. 🤍
