The idea behind ART+ is not to teach children how to make perfect art. It is to give them room to try things out, make their own decisions, and discover what they enjoy. At the heart of the programme is the belief that every child should have a place where they can simply be themselves and feel accepted and supported.

Today, on Teachers’ Day, we want to celebrate the people who guide, encourage, and support children across our projects – especially our teachers in SKOLA+, but also the coaches and mentors in SPORT+ who create spaces for growth, confidence, and connection beyond the classroom. 🫂

Every day, our SKOLA+ teachers create spaces where children can learn, explore, connect, and feel supported – often under extraordinarily difficult circumstances.

We are grateful to every teacher who has joined us this school year, bringing new energy, ideas, and commitment to our growing community. And we want to give a very special thank you to those who have been with us from the very beginning.

Together, we have come a long way. What started as a pilot project has grown step by step into a program that now brings together seven schools. Our teachers have accompanied this journey through every challenge, every change, every new idea, and every milestone.

Their dedication is one of the foundations of our work and of the communities we are building through SKOLA+ and SPORT+.

To all our teachers – and to everyone in our projects who supports, encourages, and stands beside children every day – thank you for your courage, your patience, your creativity, and your tireless commitment. Thank you for continuing to believe in education, development, and in the future of the children, even when circumstances make this anything but easy. 🫶

It is an honor to walk this path together with you.

Thanks to your support, the psychosocial children’s and youth camp in Batyovo has gotten off to a good start. 🤗

The children have arrived, had the chance to get to know one another, and are gradually settling into the group and the daily rhythm.

We are very happy that the camp is already underway and deeply grateful to everyone who is helping make it possible. At the same time, we continue to hope that we will reach our fundraising goal in order to fully cover the costs incurred.

Help us make a psychosocial recovery camp for 20 children from war-affected communities in Ukraine happen! 🫶

The camp combines psychosocial support with creative workshops, outdoor activities, nature experiences, and opportunities to spend time with other children in a safe and supportive environment.

Almost 50% of the required 2000€ for transport, food, accommodation and organisation is already covered. Can you help us finance the rest to give these kids at least one week of childhood back?

𝗟𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗨𝗸𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗲. Far from bombs and sirens, they can experience a rare break from the realities of war in a psychosocial recovery camp. 😌

From June 29 to July 4, a 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽 will take place in the western Ukrainian village of Batyovo. Developed by psychologists and educators, the program combines 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 to help children reduce stress and cope with traumatic experiences.

Highlights include:

▶️ 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 & 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝘆 🫂: Workshops such as “Map of My Strengths” help children safely express emotions and process difficult experiences.
▶️ 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 & 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 🌿: Excursions, eco-walks, and mindfulness exercises help lower stress levels and promote emotional well-being.
▶️ 𝗝𝗼𝘆 & 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 🤗: Outdoor games, team challenges, and creative workshops bring back the simple joys of childhood.
▶️ 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 💪: Children learn practical coping strategies and gain confidence and emotional stability they can take into their daily lives.

The costs for the program are covered by our partners at VESTED, but we need your help to cover the costs to cover accommodation, meals and logistics for 20 children. 🤍

𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝘀:
€100 covers the full cost of one child’s participation in the camp.
€7.60 covers meals for one child for an entire day.
€4 provides safe accommodation for one child for one day.
