Filmplus) ist Europas einziges Festival, das sich inhaltlich mit Schnitt und Montagekunst beschäftigt. In kreativer und familiärer Atmosphäre trifft die Branche auf ein anspruchsvolles und filmbegeistertes Publikum. Die viertägige Veranstaltung mit Filmvorführungen, Podiumsdiskussionen, Werkstattgesprächen und Abendveranstaltungen mit namhaften Vertretern und Juroren aus der Filmbranche vor großem Publikum in den Kölner Programmkinos Filmforum und OFF Broadway ist eine feste Größe nicht nur im Kölner Kulturkalender.

2021 findet das Festival vom 15.18.

👉 Part 3 of 3 of our international programme

Our international programme concludes with the International Film Editors Forum (IFEF), taking place for the ninth time and bringing together film editors from around the world.

This year’s IFEF focuses on AI & Ethics. Participants will exchange practical experiences with AI and work together on building blocks for a code of ethics that can support editors when navigating challenging situations involving the use of AI.

The IFEF is not a public event, but a networking event for editors who are actively working to advance the profession and improve working conditions in their home countries. In 2025, 52 participants from 28 countries took part.

Zum Abschluss unseres internationalen Programms findet zum neunten Mal das International Film Editors Forum (IFEF) statt, das Filmeditor*innen aus aller Welt zusammenbringt.

Auch das diesjährige IFEF steht ganz im Zeichen von KI & Ethik. Die Teilnehmerinnen tauschen sich über praktische Erfahrungen mit KI aus und arbeiten gemeinsam an Bausteinen für einen Ethik-Kodex, der Editorinnen in heiklen Situationen beim Einsatz von KI den Rücken stärken kann.

Das IFEF ist keine öffentliche Veranstaltung, sondern eine Netzwerkveranstaltung für Editor*innen, die sich in ihren Herkunftsländern für die Weiterentwicklung des Berufs und bessere Arbeitsbedingungen einsetzen. 2025 nahmen 52 Personen aus 28 Ländern teil.

Die Teilnahme ist auf vier Personen pro Land begrenzt und erfordert eine vorherige Anmeldung unter [email protected].

Our international program continues with “Ethical Editing in the Age of AI” – a panel exploring the ethical challenges of film editing in the age of artificial intelligence.

Der Workshop nimmt den gesamten Prozess in den Blick – von Green IT, Datencentern und ressourcenschonenden Workflows über Cloud, VFX und KI bis hin zu Mastering und Ausspielung. Anhand konkreter Beispiele werden Energiebedarf, CO₂-Emissionen und Kosten sichtbar gemacht und praktische Stellschrauben für die eigene Arbeit entwickelt.
