The Crisis in Our Classrooms: Are We Losing a Generation?
Schools should be places of learning, growth, and opportunity—but today, many have become breeding grounds for violence, drug abuse, and moral decay. Students are no longer just struggling with academics; they’re fighting battles with crime, substance addiction, prostitution (hookups), and even bringing weapons to class. Teachers—once the pillars of discipline and knowledge—are being beaten up, disrespected, and threatened.
Where did we go wrong? Who is responsible? How do we fix this?
At NAPMAAC, we refuse to stand by and watch our children destroy their futures. Every child deserves guidance, protection, and discipline, and it starts with all of us—parents, teachers, community leaders, and the students themselves.
✅ Parents, your role doesn’t end when your child walks through the school gates. Know their friends, monitor their activities, and teach them values that will keep them from harm.
✅ Students, your choices today shape your tomorrow. Violence and reckless behavior will only rob you of your future. Education is your way up—not crime.
✅ Teachers and school authorities, the system needs strong leadership. Report issues, enforce discipline, and demand better policies to protect both students and educators.
NAPMAAC is taking action! We will be launching a series of online and offline programs to:
🔹 Educate students on the dangers of crime, drugs, and violence.
🔹 Support victims of school-based abuse and violence.
🔹 Train parents and teachers on how to mentor and guide students effectively.
🔹 Advocate for stricter policies to protect education and ensure a safe learning environment.
The future of Cameroon is in our classrooms today. If we do nothing, we risk raising a lost generation. It’s time to take a stand!
