Periods aren't just a "womenโ€™s issue." Being a supportive ally is simple, grab the heating pad, stock up on pads or tampons without making it weird, and bin the old "is it that time of the month?" jokes. Letโ€™s normalize the conversation and support the women in our lives today and every day.

โ€œColors speak where words sometimes fail.โ€

A piece of cloth.
A splash of color. ๐ŸŒˆ
A powerful message.

Amidst all the challenges, where is the time for individuals to reconcile current events and their inner peace?๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ

In restoring and assuring girls dignity, we gave them space around a simple piece of cloth with paints and ๐ŸŒˆ not just to create art, but to express , , , , and that are often left unspoken.

Through every color added to the cloth, important conversations sparked about dignity, self-worth, and emotional well-being, making informed life choices, building safe communities, and creating a future where young people feel heard, supported, and empowered.

The activity reminded everyone that expression does not always need words. Sometimes, ๐ŸŒˆ can speak๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ louder than voices. A single cloth became a space for , , , , and .

As a community, we must continue creating safe spaces where young people can learn, express themselves freely, support one another, and grow into confident individuals prepared for lifeโ€™s challenges and opportunities.

Because when young people are given the chance to express themselves, they do not just paint ๐ŸŒˆ they paint , , , and .

Story Story!!!!!!
โ€œGalsโ€ฆ How Do You Stay Fresh During Your Period?โ€

Sarah: โ€œPeriods can honestly be ๐Ÿ˜ฅ. Sometimes I worry about discomfort, odor, and whether Iโ€™m even taking care of myself properly.โ€

Brenda: โ€œSame here. I even used to think bathing during menstruation was unhealthy.โ€

Linda, ๐Ÿ˜Š. โ€œActually gals, proper menstrual hygiene is very important. It helps you stay healthy, comfortable, fresh, and confident.โ€
The girls ๐Ÿ‘‚closely.
Lindaโ€ฆ: โ€œYou should change your pads or other menstrual products regularly to avoid irritation, infections, and unpleasant odors. Bathing during your period also helps keep your body clean and fresh.โ€
โ€œAnd always wash your hands with ๐Ÿงผand clean water before and after changing menstrual products to prevent germs from spreading.โ€

Brenda nodded. โ€œI honestly didnโ€™t know hand washing during ๐Ÿฉธwas that important.โ€

Linda: โ€œIt is. Wearing clean and comfortable underwear also helps a lot. Avoid harsh chemicals or scented products because they may cause irritation.โ€
โ€œFor reusable pads or menstrual underwear, wash them properly, dry them under sunlight, and store them in a clean place before reuse.โ€
โ€œAnd girls, never throw used pads in toilets, bushes, or rivers. Wrap them properly and dispose of them safely in a dustbin.โ€
Sarah ๐Ÿ˜Š. โ€œHonestly, conversations like this help girls feel less ashamed about their periods.โ€

Menstrual hygiene is an important part of personal health, dignity, and self care. No girl should feel ashamed of menstruation or lack the information needed to manage it safely and confidently.๐Ÿ˜Ž

What about those who do not have pads?
Stay tuned for our next series.

Knowing how to calculate a menstrual cycle is a fundamental life skill.

When we talk of life saving skills, it high time we include calculating โ€œwhen mbra did camโ€. In recent engagement with young girls about menstrual hygiene, their earnest desire is to know how to calculate their cycle.

To tell you the truth? Menstrual literacy isnโ€™t universally taught, leaving millions of girls , , and facing unexpected poverty or . Knowing how to calculate a menstrual cycle is a fundamental life skill. It builds body literacy, confidence, and health awareness.
If you have a daughter, sister, or mentee, here is the simple 3-Step Method we shared with the girls to help them track their cycles:
1๏ธโƒฃ Day 1 is the very first day of bleeding
2๏ธโƒฃ Count the Gap. Count every single day from that Day 1 until day 14 which is your fertile window, from there continue until the next period starts. (The average is 28 days, but anywhere between 21 to 35 days is totally healthy and normal for teens).
3๏ธโƒฃ Repeat & predict. Do this for 3 months. If Month 1 was 28 days and Month 2 and 3 is 30 days, your average cycle is about 29 days.

By teaching girls to track their cycles, we aren't just teaching math; we are giving them control over their bodies and their schedules.
Letโ€™s break the taboo. How are you supporting menstrual hygiene education in your community? ๐Ÿ‘‡

They can speak with respect, never tease or isolate, and encourage open conversations at home and in schools.

๐Ÿ‘Œ๐ŸพUnderstanding menstruation as natural allows them to stand against myths and build inclusive communities.

Educated boys and men become powerful allies in promoting dignity, confidence, and equality when they get involved.
Letโ€™s raise a generation where menstruation is respected, not hidden or mocked.

A Nation exists when there is Unity

Nations are not born simply from lines drawn on a map, nor is it sustained merely by a date on the calendar.

Nations truly exists only when its people stand as one.1๏ธโƒฃ Without , we are just individuals sharing a geography. It is unity that breathes life into the concept of a , and it is that allows that unity to thrive.

This National Day, is a reminder that buildx a nation is a daily act of choosing one another. It requires us to listen softly, to bridge our differences gently, and to protect the peace that keeps us bound together. We cannot have one without the other.

Letโ€™s protect our foundation, cherish our togetherness, and remember that our greatest strength lies in our oneness. ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธโค๏ธ
