Together, you turned a special day into a moment that will stay with us.From the National Anthem to the works of Ernest Bloch and other Swiss composers, we celebrated Switzerland in the way that represents us best: making music together.

Some encounters stay with you.

On 1 August in Bern, we had the pleasure of celebrating Swiss National Day through music together with Chelsea Zurflüh.Not only on stage, but also during rehearsals, in the corridors and in all those little moments we shared, we got to know Chelsea as an extraordinary artist and a wonderful person.And that’s exactly why we’re already looking forward to the next time.

For the third time, the SWISS NATIONAL ORCHESTRA presented a musical firework in honour of Switzerland on August 1, 2026, at the Casino Bern.
We thank everyone who attended VIVAT HELVETIA live for the thunderous applause and standing ovations, and our amazing artists for sweeping away the crowd.

An unforgettable morning, music that touched the heart, a unique and incomparable atmosphere.

On the 1st of August, the most Swiss day of the year, the Swiss National Orchestra brought to life an extraordinary concert in Bern, under the baton of the Swiss-Australian conductor Elena Schwarz. From the Swiss Psalm by Alberik Zwyssig to the Tell Symphony, with works by Hans Huber, Gioachino Rossini, Richard Wagner and Arthur Honegger – a concert deeply rooted in Swiss history and identity.
