Close your eyes for a moment.

Imagine yourself wandering slowly through the Bernese Alps. The crisp morning air. The silence that's never quite silent. A melody drifting softly like the wind across the meadows.

This is exactly what Arthur Honegger captured in 1920 with his Pastorale d'été – a symphonic poem born right here, among the Swiss mountains we hold so dear.

Listen, and let yourself drift far away from the everyday chaos.

❤️ Meet the SNO Team

Today, meet Betina Thorball, our Operations Director.
Behind every concert, there are countless things that often go unseen: coordination, attention to detail, people, timing, and a thousand small decisions that make a real difference.
Betina brings all of this to SNO with professionalism, energy and, above all, a lot of heart.
Dear Betina, thank you for everything you do every day, for your dedication, and for all that you bring to the SNO team.
And thank you for believing in what we are building together.

55 Years of Diplomatic Relations between Vietnam and Switzerland 🇻🇳🇨🇭

On the occasion of this important anniversary, a recording of the Swiss National Anthem was played during the celebration.
For SNO, music is also a way to connect countries, cultures and people, and to build bridges through cultural diplomacy.
We are pleased to have been part of this special occasion, celebrating 55 years of relations, friendship and exchange between Vietnam and Switzerland.

Igor Longato, Artistic Director of the Swiss National Orchestra.

Music is not born only through musicians. It is born in the mind of those who imagine what does not yet exist. In the heart of those who believe in it when everything seems impossible. In the strength of those who make difficult decisions — out of love for music, out of love for what they believe in.

This is your signature, Igor. On every note.

With deep gratitude — the team of the Swiss National Orchestra

Bravo Samuel Niederhauser! 🏆
