The day after the hike, in the magic course, we took part in different LS and LA focused on dance, intercultural activities, ball games, jumping, and running. Each activity felt like a little bit of magic, making us feel excited, curious, and full of energy while improving our skills for the camp.
We also had a special visit from the president of SJAS, who shared the history and values of the foundation. It was inspiring and made us feel more connected to its mission.

The early bird catches the worm—and that’s exactly how today began. Afterwards, we created posters to compare the needs of adolescents and children. This was followed by a planned LS and LA. The LS was an orienteering activity, where participants went on a scavenger hunt in the forest, searching for letters to form the solution word, which would unlock a chest and reveal a magical spell.

The LA showed us how to interact with disadvantaged people. For lunch, we had salad with hot dogs and French toast. In the next program point, we learned how to work with children as leaders and how to prepare sports programs differently compared to those for adolescents. Then we had free time until 6:30 p.m. to pack.

For dinner, we made hamburgers, and finally, we did sports outside.

in the next morning we got up very early by the cold. Thankfully we all survived the night more or less with wet sleeping bags and cold toes. The breakfast was already set up which was very great. We hurrily gathered all the material and got going back to the magical school. When we finally arrived back home, we had a Höck (Meeting) with our main Campleaders to talk about our experienes. After everyone washed themselfes we could find some rest bevor having a magical lunch in the sun. The afternoon was full of very interesting lessons where we could learn even more on how to become a magnificent leader. The day will be over soon, finishing off with a dodgeball and wellness session to round up the fabulous day.

We took a magical hike through an enchanted forest, trying to track down the teacher who had left us behind. We divided into groups to cover more ground; some of us did some extra routes but eventually found our way again. We learned how to use a map and a compass, and we also received tips on how to fuel ourselves properly in order to handle an exhausting hike like the one we did.

The most important part was the learning session on how to help an injured magician. After that, we arrived at the campsite and split into two groups. One group learned how to set up our magical houses (tents), while the other learned how to cook over the magical fire.

After dinner, we met a mysterious old man/teacher who gave us the key to learning a new and very useful spell to help us find the dragon eggs. The day ended with a magical campfire under the stars, where all the tired participants eventually fell asleep.

Today we got to experience the first LA ans LS planed by two of the participating wizards. In the LA we got to experience the magic of composing and the black magic of trash in nature. Afterwards we learned about different safety aspects important for a camp. After a magical lunch we got time to film little Videos about difficult situations interculturality could cause in camps. It was very interesting 🥳

This morning we were treated to a delicious Easter brunch before we set off on a varied day of training.
The participants led various ‘pocket games’. These are games that last around 10 minutes, require no equipment and can be played anywhere. Ideas like these are invaluable in everyday camp life when you need a spontaneous burst of energy, some exercise or a quick activity.
In the morning, we sat down in groups to discuss our roles as leaders or head leaders. What skills and qualities does a good camp leader need?
In the afternoon, we then worked intensively on our camp planning. The groups held a brainstorming session, developed ideas further and worked on the activities that will take place on Tuesday.
So today, in glorious weather, there was plenty of discussion, planning, organising and preparation. An exciting day filled with practical work, sharing ideas and that camp atmosphere.

Today in our magic-themed course, we learned how to plan a hiking adventure like real wizards, with a special focus on keeping children safe. We explored the Swiss Mobile app, which guides us through enchanted trails, and how to check weather and conditions as if consulting a crystal ball. We also reviewed the essential gear and
equipment every young magical explorer must carry, along with the 3x3, ensuring that every step is protected and every journey is safe for children.

Planning a hike is more than just walking, it’s like preparing a magical ritual. Every detail, from maps to supplies, from rules to safety, adds a layer of protection and enchantment, turning an ordinary hike into an adventure full of discovery, wonder, and a
touch of magic for our young adventurers.

Today we started into the SJAS training course for camp leaders! After arriving at the magic acadamy, we got to meet the group and got to know everyone. To get access to the magic house, we put together the mandala which was the magic key. After that we were introduced to the course material and leaders, which was followed by a magically succulent lunch, which we enjoyed very much. After lunch each student had a personal training session with our amazing spiders. After that we accumulated a lot of knowledge for our magical careers. We were split into groups and given the activity timeline for the week, as well as made familiar with the ecamp and owncloud website. We then had the chance to participate in a magical quiz where our knowledge was put to the ultimate test. For that the magicians were split into two groups and only one winner emerged. For the remainder of the afternoon we had the choice to participate in LS and LA activities. The LA group went to the magical woods where they hunted for magical herbs to brew different potions. While the LS group trained for the quidditch tournament. All in all a very successfull afternoon, which led to a magical swiss dinner which highlighted our first day. 🔮
