Just three days ago, we were asking folks to share Tabitha’s story again, wondering how she’d gone so long without a single application. Well, what a difference three days can make!

Today, we are absolutely thrilled to share that our sweet Tabs has found her forever home! 🥹

Her new mom and dad weren’t even following our page! Someone shared her story, it eventually made its way to this wonderful couple, and they were so touched that they reached out and applied. Today, they met Tabs in person, and the rest is history! ❤️

We want to thank every single person who shared Tabitha’s post. This is why sharing matters so much. You truly never know whose heart a story might touch.

And to Tabitha’s lovely new family, thank you for opening your hearts and home to our girl. We couldn’t have wished for a happier ending!

You may remember Felicity, the beautiful calico mama who was trapped several weeks ago at a campground in Rawdon, along with her two kittens. Felicity had been hanging around the campground for much of the summer, but no one claimed her as their own. With the campground closing for the season and her food source disappearing, we knew we needed to get this little family to safety.

Fast forward to today, and Felicity has turned out to be a sweet, affectionate girl with plenty of love to give! She’s chatty, playful, and absolutely adores attention. She’s more than happy to be picked up, cuddled, and spoiled with pets.

With her playful nature and affectionate personality, Felicity is sure to bring lots of love and happiness to her new home!

Oh, Charlie! Where do we even begin with this handsome fellow?

Charlie joined us nearly six weeks ago after making his way to a small colony of feral cats. We suspect this big orange boy had been fending for himself for a very long time prior to finding the colony. He was nervous, overwhelmed, and a little shut down when he first arrived, but we knew we could absolutely work with him, and that’s exactly what we did!

At roughly six years old, Charlie has clearly seen the rougher side of life. His big, beefy cheeks and weathered appearance tell us he’s been through a thing or two. We will never know his past, but we’re determined to give him a wonderful future. 💕

And it certainly didn’t take Sir Charles long to discover the finer things in life! Warm, comfortable beds, regular meals, and a cat tree to lounge on. And then there’s his absolute favourite discovery: the heated bed! ❤️

Charlie’s future adopter may want to add one to his Christmas wish list because this boy has decided that cold nights and outdoor living are officially behind him! Underneath that rugged exterior is an affectionate, lovable, big old orange ham who absolutely adores attention.

🧡𝐀 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭
𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐞!

Charlie has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), a virus that affects a cat’s immune system, making it weaker than that of an FIV-negative cat.

But please don’t let those three letters scare you away! With proper nutrition, regular veterinary care, and a safe indoor environment, many FIV-positive cats live long, happy, healthy lives, with lifespans comparable to cats without FIV.

For Charlie, we’re looking for an indoor home where he can be the only cat or share his space with another friendly, compatible FIV-positive kitty.

🐾 How has this beautiful girl not received a single adoption application?

We’ve shared Tabitha’s story more than once, and somehow, this sweet girl continues to be overlooked. Not one application. And we truly can’t understand why!

Unfortunately, cats like Tabitha can sometimes get lost in the shuffle. They’re no longer tiny, fluffy kittens, and being adopted from a foster home means they don’t always get the same exposure. But these wonderful young cats have just as much love to give and deserve every bit as much attention. ❤️

Tabitha (affectionately known as Tabs) came into our care last winter as an older kitten, born outside with very little human interaction. She was frightened, spicy, and had a significant tail injury. Thankfully, her injury has long since healed, leaving her with the cutest little stubby tail!

With time, patience, and lots of love, Tabs has completely transformed. Today, she’s an affectionate sweetheart who loves being petted, snuggling on the bed, and soaking up attention. She’s also incredibly playful and loves racing around chasing toys. At just over a year old, she’s still full of kitten antics!

🐱 One thing we can’t emphasize enough is how much Tabitha ADORES other cats! She loves having a feline companion, so her forever home must have another friendly cat.

As much as we adore Tabs, our ultimate goal has always been to see her find a loving home of her very own. She’s more than ready, and we know someone out there would be incredibly lucky to welcome this beautiful girl into their family. 💓

We were absolutely blown away last week when we learned that Stray2Stay Cat Rescue had been selected as one of three local nonprofits to receive a $1,000 donation from Three Mile Plains Community Hall. We didn’t even know we’d been nominated.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Three Mile Plains Community Hall for thinking of us and for this incredibly generous donation.

The support we’ve felt from our community has been absolutely amazing, especially as a relatively new rescue.

The team from Three Mile Plains Community Hall stopped by Stray2Stay Cat Rescue to drop off a $1,000.00 donation check—and safe to say, Chanel the cat was absolutely shocked! 😹💸❤️

Look at that face! She was busy calculating just how many catnip toys, cozy beds, and delicious treats $1,000 will buy for all her rescue pals! 🐾🎁

We’ll begin reaching out to winning bidders this evening, and everyone should hear from us within the next 24 to 48 hours with pickup details.

All auction items are currently in Falmouth. For those who requested HRM pickup, we’ll be transferring your items to HRM this weekend to make pickup more convenient. We’ll also be coordinating arrangements for anyone who requested Chester pickup.

Our sweet girl Francesca didn’t spend long at Pet Valu Windsor! ❤️

We’re so happy to share that this little beauty went to her wonderful new home this morning, where she’ll also have a feline sibling to keep her company!

Her new dad sent us this adorable picture shortly after arriving home, and we just had to share it! 🥰
