Want to be part of the team behind the music? 🎶 💪

Did you know the force behind the festival is largely volunteer-based? Our amazing Volunteers facilitate nearly every aspect of the "magic behind the curtain"; apart from regular campground operations (Thanks Mark, Kelly & Team for all you do!!!) ⛺️ 🚐

We’re looking for volunteers for the 53rd Annual Nova Scotia Bluegrass & Oldtime Music Festival, July 23-26 in Ardoise! Volunteers get a behind-the-scenes look at the festival while still having plenty of time to enjoy the music and festivities.

🎟️ In exchange for at least 12 hours of volunteer time, you'll be granted festival access all weekend long. Already bought a ticket? If you’re accepted as a volunteer, we’ll refund it at the festival.

Many hands make light work… and a great bluegrass festival! 💙

Sometimes the most meaningful moments don’t announce themselves loudly; they simply find their way back home. 🏠

A New Shade of Blue, born from a late‑night jam at the festival more than three decades ago, is stepping back onto the stage where their story began. 🪕

For longtime festival‑goers, their return will feel familiar and deeply personal. For newer listeners, it’s a chance to experience a piece of Nova Scotia bluegrass history, shared by the musicians who lived it.

With original members reunited, memories of those gone before us, and a new generation now part of the music, this is sure to bring some wicked sets. 🔥
