We are sending our heartfelt condolences to the family of Downeast Lifetime Member, Albert Aucoin who passed July 18th.

Albert held the position of Society Treasurer for many years and was deeply involved in the Truro and Area Bluegrass & Oldtime Music Association. He is fondly remembered for his smile, and many jam sessions playing his guitar and singing alongside his dear friend Blossom.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the 53rd Annual Nova Scotia Bluegrass & Oldtime Music Festival so special. This would not be possible without our volunteers, performers, sponsors, vendors, and everyone of you who came to sing, dance, laugh, and make memories! This my favourite week of the year, and not just because of the Beechbrook Canteen French Fries 🍟

I’m going to miss seeing all of your smiling faces, and I can’t wait until we’re together again! A little birdie told me that planning for next year might already be underway... 👀
