Welland Rose Festival The Welland Rose Festival has inspired the public to gather and celebrate since 1961.

Since 1961, the Welland Rose Festival has brought together the people of Welland and surrounding areas to celebrate our history, heritage, and community. The Festival is comprised of several events such as;

Days In The Park
Baby Show
Grand Parade
Street Dance
Children's Fishing Derby
And

so much more...

The Welland Rose Festival partners with other community groups and businesses to host events throughout the month of June. We are incredibly lucky to be able to bring back past well-attended entertainment and look forward to showcasing new immersive, crowd-pleasing events! This Legacy Event planned and produced by volunteers will be inevitably destined for greatness in the years to come. The dedicated work of past volunteers has brought forward a new generation of young innovative leaders that are idealistic, enthusiastic, and dreamers for the future of the Welland Rose Festival. Thus demonstrating how our community can carry on old and new traditions, honor diversity, and celebrate unity.

⏰ 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

One of Welland's most beloved traditions returns as the 65th Welland Rose Festival Grande Parade takes to the streets of our community!

Join thousands of spectators as an incredible procession of colourful floats, live bands, marching bands, classic and specialty vehicles, community organizations, performers, entertainers, and much more make their way through the heart of the city. From dazzling displays and creative costumes to lively music and hometown pride, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

📍 Parade Route Information

🚩 Start Location:
The parade begins at the Welland Arena and travels north along King Street beginning at 1:00 PM.

🌟 Best Viewing Area:
Find a spot along King Street near Merritt Park and the Welland Museum for some of the best views of the parade. After the festivities pass by, stick around and join us in Merritt Park for even more Welland Rose Festival fun!

🏁 End Location:
The parade concludes at the intersection of East Main Street and Cross St at approximately 3:00 PM.

Bands and marching groups will continue left toward City Hall, while floats will proceed right toward Market Square.

Bring your family, friends, lawn chairs, and community spirit as we celebrate 65 years of Rose Festival memories. Whether you're a lifelong parade attendee or experiencing it for the very first time, the Grande Parade is a highlight of the festival you won't want to miss!

We can't wait to see you lining the streets of Welland for an afternoon filled with music, excitement, creativity, and community pride.
