The countdown to the bike rodeo is on and we are getting pumped! Thanks to everyone who donated bikes and to Jordan who provided the pick up and drop off to Broken Spoke for repairs. If you are not familiar with Broken Spoke, Port Colborne, it is an amazing credit bearing program where students learn how to repair bikes while changing lives here and around the world. In 10 years they have saved 30,000 bikes from landfills, made 30,000 people's lives a little easier and the planet a little greener. Imagine if we had a program like that in every high school?

Received three bikes for the bike rodeo today! We need more! If you have a children's or youth size bike or wish to make a financial donation that would be very appreciated. The bike rodeo will provide students with a bike, helmet and bell along with education on how to be a good rider. Good for kids. Good for the planet.

Hello Folks :) We are working together to offer a bike rodeo to students in the spring which will teach safe bike riding skills, basic maintenance and road safety. Currently, we are canvassing the community for good used bikes that would be suitable for children and youth. If you have a bike that you can donate please see the flyer for details.Thanks!

Today council votes re reducing it's members. While that might seem efficient it doesn't save considerable money and it narrows perspective, blocks diverse ways of thinking and limits representation to a few. If that doesn't sound good to you take two minutes and call your councillor to say you are not in favour.
