The kids had the best time making these boxes and left knowing that they would help ensure someone had a Happy Birthday 🥳

A HUGE thank you to the amazing kids at the Faith Welland (Faith Tabernacle) After School Club for putting together and donating 24 Birthday Boxes for families here at Open Arms Mission!

Each thoughtfully prepared box contains everything needed to make a birthday cake, helping ensure that families can celebrate their special moments together. 🥳🎈

What a beautiful example of young hearts putting God's love into action! Thank you for spreading joy, kindness, and a little birthday magic throughout our community! ❤️

Game Day Fun! 🎉

Seniors at Birchwood Place and Elmview recently exercised their minds and bodies at our Game Day, enjoying laughter, friendly competition, and connection!

Fun Fact: Staying active as we age helps support memory, balance, strength, and overall well-being. It’s never too late to keep moving, learning, and having fun!

Here at the Community House we appreciate exceptional behaviours and we honour those who show it 🏆

Our Prize Box Initiative is filled with squishy toys, candies, and other items children request🪁 So… how do they win?

We follow 5 rules at the house; 1. Listen to your leaders 2. Respect the house 3. Respect eachother 4. Be kind 5. Have fun 🤩 Winners of the Prize Box Initiative demonstrate they can follow all of these rules throughout the whole event and show us that they go above and beyond ✅ An example; Someone who follows all our rules, and clear’s the snack table for all their friends 🎊

This week we CREATE 🎨 The kids in our afterschool club were beyond proud of their bears. These are called drip bears and the marble effect is created by combining colours (without mixing) in a cup and pouring it over the bear, allowing the paint to drip 💧 Here are the amazing results from our school aged kids 👨‍🎨

🍂 Our team recently was at Royal Rose Long Term Care for a Thanksgiving-themed visit! ❤️

Residents talked about showing thanks, love and kindness to others. With help from our volunteers, they each filled out a Thanksgiving card for someone special in their lives, a caregiver, family member, volunteer or friend.
