🎤 Community Block!
Host: Community voices of CFUV!
Community Block is CFUV’s hour of highlighting programming, voices, and music by CFUV’s community hosts, producers and volunteers. The programming in this house focuses on Victoria, UVic, and other nearby locations and the people who make up our amazing community.
Catch community block every week on Tuesdays, at 3 pm!

🌬️ Winds of Change
Host; Janine!
This show features music written and/or performed by artists that emphasize a call for peace, environmental protection, social justice and animal liberation. The host includes music from all genres (equally, as much as possible) for a weekly journey reflecting resistance to authoritarianism and tyranny, music from and about progressive social movements as these have evolved through time.
Catch Janine weekly on Wednesdays at 2 pm!

🌻 Utopia
Host: Danika!
Utopia is a program dedicated to nature. Expect a wide range of tunes that will remind you of your deeper roots. Danika will chat about all things nature as well! Favourite hikes, activism and environmental issues are some topics you can expect to hear her talk about on the show! Utopia is ethereal, experimental, and open!
Catch them bi-weekly on Wednesdays, at 3 pm!

🕊️ Tadamon Radio
Host: Roots, Ash, and Dana!
Tadamon radio is a show that showcases and uplifts Indigenous voices, both local and international, with a primary focus on Coast Salish territories and Palestine. There will be interviews accompanied by music (mostly created by Indigenous artists and musicians!). Tadamon Radio’s last instalment of their food serenity series will air May 14th.
Tune in to Tadamon Radio monthly on Thursdays, at 1 pm!

Are you passionate about sustainability, community and student-led change? The UVSP is hiring! 🌿🌊🪻

Application details in our link tree! The deadline to apply is Tuesday, April 14. 🌲

Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing staff and work study students
- Working with UVSP Board to promote sustainability on campus through organizing programming, campaigns and more, and supporting the longevity of these initiatives.
- Establish and maintain relationships with relevant social justice, community and environmental organizations.
- Condict administrative tasks on behalf of the UVSP board.
- Mange UVSP emails, website, social media accounts and mailing list.
- Help create posters, brochures, social media posts and other graphics for the UVSP

Wage, hours, location;
$29.35 + 5% vacation pay, 20 hours a week, in person at the Student Union Building!

The UVSP’s mission on-campus is to re-conceptualize sustainability. We seek to honestly acknowledge and address the exclusionary roots of environmentalism and root our work on-campus in intersectionality and anti-colonial frameworks. We especially encourage people who feel that their perspectives are not represented in contemporary expressions of sustainability to apply for this position. Working towards sustainability means working towards intersectional justice, and safe, diverse, learning-oriented, accessible, and welcoming communities must come first to support this work.

Tides & Trails recap🏃‍♀️🌊

Thank you to everyone who came out to our last event of the school year! We had an awesome morning run up PKOLS and an epic beach clean. Big thanks to for providing the cleaning materials and pizzas🤝 And thanks to for leading us on a beautiful morning run and giving away some red bulls⭐️⛰️

P.S our AGM is tonight! Come celebrate all that we’ve done this year and plan what we are looking forward to next year!

Come out to our last event of the school year! We’re going to be heading up PKOLS for a quick run with before heading down to do a beach clean up with ! ⛰️🏃‍♀️🌊

Community, cocoa, and clean-ups, name a better way to spend a Saturday morning!

📍For the trail run (10-11am): Meet at the Mount Doug Beach Parking Lot- We’ll head up to the summit with run club⭐️Please wear good footwear (running shoes) and come ready to run! We will have a vehicle where you can store water, warm clothes, or whatever you need for the beach clean after!

🚮For the beach clean (11-1pm): All supplies will be provided; gloves, buckets, you name it! We will meet under the Surfrider tent.

Can’t wait to see you all there!
