It invites us to continue learning from Indigenous voices throughout the year, not only through awareness, but through ongoing listening, education, and engagement.

It also reminds us of the importance of creating space for Indigenous perspectives to be heard, respected, and meaningfully included in our conversations and communities.
These are not one-time actions, but ongoing responsibilities that require consistency, respect, and intention.

The words we choose can either dismiss what someone is going through or invite them to open up.

'You’ll be fine' might seem reassuring, but it can also shut down the conversation.

Saying 'You seem off today. What's going on?' creates space for honesty and shows that you are paying attention.
