Just a note to say that we had decided after last year’s amazing Dinner and Fubdraiser that we’d host this event every two years. The next event will be in the fall of 2025. If you still want to donate to BCCH Foundation please feel free to donate directly to them. Thank you again for your support of our local kids!

AMAZING!! Thank you Vanderhoof for this overwhelming show of support and love for BC Children's Hospital. Together we raised $62,343.08 on October 28th (plus additional cash donations that followed the week after). Please spend some time and read through this incredible list of cash and prize sponsors to the event. And a special thank you to everyone that came and participated in the raffles and auctions that helped get us to this total. As always there is a huge list of volunteers and in-kind sponsors - you are amazing and this could not have happened without you.

On behalf of the Vanderhoof Community for Kids team, thank you for your support of this event and BC Children's Hospital - it truly is wonderful.

The countdown is on for the Dinner and Auction Fundraising Event for BC Children's Hospital! This event is happening tomorrow, Saturday, Oct 28th. There are about 30 tickets left, and we hope to sell them all before the event starts (sorry, no tickets at the door). Please stop by Wallace's to purchase tickets ($40 each).

Only 3 sleeps to go before the dinner & auction! We are lucky to have Sam Holden who will be playing some of his tunes for us while we get settled into the raffles and draws before the dinner. And then for the 11th time we are lucky to have the famous Ken Threlkeld with Walt Dettwiller lead the live auction portion of the night. It is always a fun time! "I remember the day I got diagnosed with Crohn's Disease"

This year, Wynne Fitzpatrick and her family will be sharing their story at the fundraising event of their time spent at BC Children's Hospital. Here is a sneak peak into Wynne's personal story from diagnosis to treatment of Crohn's Disease.

If you have a story of your experience at BC Children's Hospital that you'd like to share, I'd love to chat to create your own story card that we can share at the event. We have collected many stories over the years of brave children and families.

With the Dinner and Auction Fundraiser coming up soon (28th), it is time to start sharing stories of some of the children from Vanderhoof - past and present - that have been to BC Children's Hospital. I'll start with my daughter, who is now taller than me at 15 years old (might be time to write an updated version). As I re-read this story this morning it brought tears to my eyes and chills down my spine as it takes me right back to that time. This is why we fundraise and share with one another these stories, because it reminds us of our vulnerability and how fortunate we are to have a place like BC Children's Hospital.

Less than 2 weeks to the 11th Dinner and Auction Fundraiser!! Our volunteers have been working hard to gather amazing prizes that will be up for grabs at the event, including... studio time at Brian Adam's studio in Vancouver, ski package in Smithers, Westjet tickets for 2, Cougars tickets, local flying time, signed Canuck's Jersey, amazing quilts, pottery, art and jewelry, plus amazing gift certificates from local small and large businesses.

Tickets for the event are still available at Wallace Studios. $40 each. You can reserve a table when you purchase 6 tickets.
