📢 **ATTENTION: Work Taking Place at Phin Park**

A heads-up for neighbours who use **Phin Park**: the City of Toronto will be carrying out some monitoring work in the park this week.

The work is related to the site’s history as part of the **Greenwood closed landfill**, which operated as a municipal landfill from approximately the mid-1920s to the mid-1950s.

The City’s Solid Waste Management Services plans to drill **four gas monitoring probes** in the park. The drilling is expected to take approximately **two days**, during daytime hours, and residents may see a drilling rig and contractors in the park while the work is underway. No services are expected to be affected.

Once installed, the City will conduct **monthly gas monitoring for six months**. This is a continuation of monitoring work previously carried out at the park.

We’re sharing this information so neighbours know what to expect if they see work crews or equipment at the park this week.
