It Takes a Village is back TODAY! 🌿

With lots of kids back from camp and August moving quickly, come spend the afternoon close to home at the It Takes a Village Festival in the Upper Village.

Today’s Community Garden Day runs from 3–7 PM at Hilltop Green P (912 Eglinton Ave W), with local vendors, food, music, gardening activities and the weekly Farmers’ Market.

Come by with the family, meet up with neighbours and support some great local businesses.

🌿 IT TAKES A VILLAGE — THIS THURSDAY! 🌿

The Upper Village BIA’s It Takes a Village Festival continues this Thursday, August 13 from 3–7 PM at Hilltop Green P (912 Eglinton Ave W)!

This week is Community Garden Day 🌱🌻
Come celebrate all things gardening with plant vendors, gardening activities and fresh finds, alongside the weekly Farmers’ Market.

The festival is happening every Thursday through September 24th, with a different theme each week — plus local vendors, food, live entertainment and activities that bring neighbours together and support our local businesses.

☀️ Looking for something fun to do tomorrow?

Tomorrow from 12–4pm, Councillor Josh Matlow will be hosting a Community Festival in Cedarvale Park. It looks like a great opportunity to enjoy the weather, connect with neighbours, and spend some time in the park.

There will be free ice cream (while supplies last 🍦), raffle prizes, and interactive community booths.

It’s also a great chance to speak directly with the Councillor and City staff about many of the important initiatives currently happening in our neighbourhood, including:

• Cedarvale Park Improvement Project
• Allen & Eglinton Intersection Study
• Neighbourhood traffic pattern changes
• Laneway Improvement Project
• Other local planning and infrastructure initiatives

The City of Toronto will be hosting an in-person pop-up consultation for the new and expanded Cedarvale Park playground today, Wednesday, May 20, from 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM near the main pathway intersection in the park.

This is an opportunity for residents and families to share feedback on:
🛝 Play structures and equipment
🌳 Seating and gathering spaces
♿ Accessibility and inclusive features
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Other ideas for the new playground design
