One of the gifts of ceremony is that it invites us to step out of ordinary time and into sacred time.

It offers an opportunity to slow down, listen deeply, and remember our place within the web of life. In ceremony, we consciously enter a supportive, sacred container that draws on the support of one another, Mother Earth, the elements, the unseen, and the deeper wisdom that lives within and around us.

One of the ways Inner Arts Collective members Deborah Brodey and Michele Meehan, together with Ann-Marie Boudreau, will weave this sacred container is through the creation of a community altar. The altar becomes a touchstone for intentions, prayers, remembrance, and shared humanity. Throughout the day, it quietly reminds participants that they are held in something larger than themselves.

This Saturday, they will facilitate Remembering Who We Are: A Journey through Loss, Grief & Rebirth with Breath and Sound in Toronto. Participants will be invited to bring a meaningful symbol to place on the community altar. It may represent a loved one, a life transition, a dream, or something they are carrying in their heart.

Throughout the day, this symbol will accompany each participant as they journey through integrative breathwork, live sounding, movement, reflection, creativity, ritual, and community, opening to the possibility of healing, renewal, and a deeper remembering of who they are.

In just a few days, Inner Arts Collective members Deborah Brodey and Michele Meehan, together with Ann-Marie Boudreau, will gather in Toronto for Remembering Who We Are: A Journey through Loss, Grief & Rebirth with Breath and Sound.

Grief is a natural part of being human, yet many of us carry it alone. We are rarely given the time, space, and community to honour the losses, changes, and transitions that shape our lives.

This day-long retreat offers a carefully tended ceremonial container where grief can be witnessed, expressed, and held with compassion and care.

Through integrative breathwork, live sounding, movement, reflection, creativity, ritual, and community, participants will be invited to access deeper parts of themselves and explore grief, loss, and rebirth in an embodied way.

Through this process, participants may open to new possibilities and a deeper remembering of who they are.
