Meta - PLEASE, stop changing Messenger & Facebook! 😵‍💫

Each time we get used to a change, something else is updated, and we have to change how we operate our volunteer network.

- We want group chat invite links back!

- We want new group chat members to see messages from before they join!

- We want to see where our posts are being shared! How else will we know which groups our post has already been shared to? It’s made it impossible for us to monitor share comments for possible sightings 👎

As the Canadian International Airshow approaches, it’s important to protect our pups from unnecessary stress. Unexpected loud noises can startle your dog, potentially causing them to run away. The roar of jet engines can be thrilling for us, but the noise can be scary for our canine companions!

Here are some essential tips to keep in mind:

1️⃣🏡 Keep your dog indoors & create a safe space: Close windows and provide a quiet, comforting environment for your dog to retreat to if the noise gets too overwhelming.

2️⃣🌳🦮 Leash up: If you need to take your dog outside during the air show, keep them on leash at all times - even the backyard. Ensure their collar & harness are properly fitted. Consider using a martingale collar & safety strap, or double leashing for added security.

3️⃣ ID Check: Make sure your dog is wearing a collar with identification tag that is easy to read, and that their microchip registration information is up to date.

By being proactive, we can prevent dogs from becoming lost! Have a great long weekend! 🐶☀️
