Hi everyone,

The NCCT Youth Department, in partnership with Downtown Legal Services, is hosting a series of Public Legal Education sessions covering important topics and legal issues that affect youth.

After our first session, we realized that the topics and format of these sessions are better suited for older youth ages 16–24. Moving forward, we encourage youth in this age group to join us for the upcoming sessions!

Upcoming topics include:

⚖️ Criminal Law
🪶 Indigenous Legal Orders
🤝 Restorative Justice
💬 Consent
💊 Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
🏠 Tenant Rights
💰 Income Assistance
Honorariums are also available! Youth will receive a $30 gift card for attending 2 sessions in a row, and youth who attend 6–8 sessions will receive a final $90 honorarium. This is also a great opportunity to gain experience and add something meaningful to your resume.
