Another gentle reminder why it is important to have an ID when coming to the MKO Food Bank and where to get an ID:

1) We make approximately 700+ food packages a month
2) Not all our staff know all our members
3) If there were ever an emergency, an ID is very very important for every day life happenings

Did you know that the MKO Status Card Program can help you navigate on getting an SCIS card (Treaty Card, and possibly a birth certificate to gain access to your treaty status, especially for our children!) For any questions, please call 204-677-1600

Did you know that MPI will assist those who may not be able to afford to pay for an MPI ID card? For any questions on this, please visit any MPI office.

MKO Food Bank requires the following:
1) Photo ID and/or Status Card
2) Proof of Address (tenant agreement, Utility Bill: Stittco/Water Bill/Hydro Bill, Drivers Licence, etc)
3) Birth Dates of everyone who lives in the home

Please be respectful and kind to our staff. They work hard every day to ensure that food is available for our members and collaborate closely with our community partners to help keep donations coming in.

Behind the scenes, our team performs physically demanding work, unloading, sorting, and moving food and supplies from the receiving area to the front distribution area. They do all of this while continuing to keep the food bank running smoothly and serving our members with care and dedication.

We appreciate your patience, understanding, and support as our staff work tirelessly to serve the community.

We have some boxes of powder eggs for larger families.

Please come to the food bank and our staff will help you with a box of powder eggs. They are shelf stable, with no expiry. Once you open them, they will need to be probably stored in air tight freezer bags.

Please note, this is available for families with children

MKO Food Bank has been given an amazing large donation of Kabrita Infant Goat Milk formula.

Open for anyone needing formula for their Infant Child!!!

The Benefits of this Infant Formula include:

Kabrita's goat milk proteins are easier to digest than cow milk proteins, making it suitable for newborns and growing babies.

It contains DHA & ARA, iron, vitamin D, and prebiotics, which support healthy growth and development.

The formula includes galacto-oligosaccharides, which help strengthen the gut microbiome and promote healthy digestion.

Kabrita's goat milk has a sweet, mild flavor that babies love, making it a pleasant option for feeding.
