THE GREAT PUMPKIN CONTEST – October 25, 2026

Rules/Details:
- The contest is open to Swift Current residents and the immediate rural areas and towns.

- Register by October 1, 2026 by sending your NAME, ADDRESS and CONTACT NUMBER in a direct message to the Swift Current Haunters’ page.

- FREE pumpkin seeds are available at Kwan’s Southside Greenhouse, Swift Current Library, Dairy King and Riverdene Garden Centre or plant your own seeds.

- Prizes awarded for First, Second and Third place determined by pumpkin weight.

- Watch this page for additional contest details and start growing!

The Fine Print:
The decision of the judges is final. Prizes must be accepted as awarded. There is no cash value. Winners agree to their photo and names being posted on the Swift Current Haunters’ page. Members of Swift Current Haunters’ are Ineligible to compete.

That's a wrap for Halloween 2025! Congratulations to all our winners and thank you once again to our wonderful sponsors and celebrity judges! It is never too early to start planning for Halloween 2026. If you didn't make it into the winners circle this year perhaps next. KID'S 13 CHILLING CHARMS CONTEST SPONSORED BY Swift Current Broncos, Sputtergotch, Cinema Twin, Finning, Dominos Pizza and the City of Swift Current RCMP and Fire Dept.

On Halloween night kids are encouraged to visit the 13 featured displays and collect Halloween themed charms from each charm keeper. There are 13 different charms available between the prime spooky hours of 6p and 9p Halloween night (some charm keepers may start earlier and/or end later). The goal is to collect a complete set (or as many as you are able to collect) of "Chilling Charms" Halloween night and comment with ONLY ONE photo of your little haunter(s) and their charm collection as a reply to this post.

All those who have collected a FULL SET of ALL 13 DIFFERENT

CHARMS will be entered for the grand prize draw provided by the Swift Current Broncos valued at over $100.00 along with a random loot bag. All others will be entered into the secondary prize draw for a random loot bag. Charms you have collected are yours to keep.

Photos must be posted before November 5, 2025

The Fine Print:
The decision of the judges is final. You must be a resident of Swift Current to participate. Prizes must be accepted as awarded. There is one grand prize and four secondary prizes to be won in this contest. There is no cash value. ONLY ONE ENTRY PER FAMILY and/or HOUSEHOLD. Winners will be identified on the post and contacted to arrange prize delivery. Members of Swift Current Haunters are Ineligible to compete. There is a limited number of charms. There is no guarantee any one collector can complete the full set, or portion thereof, before supplies are exhausted. PHOTOS MUST CLEARLY SHOW THE CHARM COLLECTION WITH THE 13 DISTINCT CHARMS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE GRAND PRIZE DRAW. In the event there are no entries for the grand prize all entries will become eligible for the grand prize draw and the secondary draws.

Skelly has a couple reminders for everyone.

There are still two active random draws in progress. You have a couple days to take part. Check the pinned posts at the top of the page for contest instructions and rules.

1) Random draws for your photos from Halloween night.

2) Random draws for the Chilling Charms contest. Remember when taking the photos we need to clearly distinguish the different charms in your photo. Also remember that you do NOT have to have a complete set of 13 to enter the contest. There are secondary draws for those with only a partial set.

It was a great Halloween now try to win some post Halloween prizes!

Submit ONLY ONE photo as a reply to this post of any one of these 2025 Halloween themes: Kid's Costume, Family Costume, Couple Costumes, Pet Costume, Singles Costume or of You and Your Friends out and about in front of one of the displays on the Road Trip list. Swift Current Haunters will be drawing six (6) random winners from the replies no later than November 5th and the winners will receive a prize.
