Swift Current Soapbox Racing Association The Swift Current Soapbox Racing is a youth based racing program, founded in 1983. Our Annual Race is held on Father's Day. We accept all kids 7-15 years of age!

We are all about having a good & safe time! 🏁 🏎 🚦 We are looking for racers and volunteers The idea of soap box racing in Swift Current started when a handful of businessmen were sitting around a kitchen table drinking coffee and eating Dad's cookies. By the time they had finished the bag of cookies, their enthusiasm was great enough to send to Akron for information on building a soap box car and

running a race. Within weeks they had the First Annual Soap Box Race organized. It was to be held on July 1st that year, but it was rained out and postponed until Labour Day weekend in September. Each year since, the race has been held on Father's Day.

Did you know that BNL ENTERPRISES repairs trailers? Thank you to Bob and his team at BNL for getting both of our soapbox trailers back into tip top shape!! If you have a trailer that needs repairs make sure you take it to Bob and his team.

We were excited to get some runs in and keep building momentum, but Mother Nature has other plans. ☔
With the rain moving in fast, it's going to make it a little tougher to get the practice time we need before race day. That said, we're staying positive and looking for every opportunity to get our racers ready when conditions allow.

Our racers showed up ready to go and had an absolute blast at practice today — smiles, speed, and lots of learning along the way!

54 days till RACE DAY!

Now that there isn’t snow in the forecast anymore it’s making us really excited to get to the hill!
