The South Saskatchewan Hockey League shall award up to two (2) bursary grants each season to a graduating player. Each applicant must meet the following criteria:
1) Must have played in the SSHL league for the past three (3) years;
2) Must be a participant in good standing with the SSHL and Hockey Canada;
3) Must be a graduating Grade 12 student during the current year;
4) Must be attending a recognized University, College or Technical program in Canada;
5) Must attend an institution within four (4) years to be paid out for the bursary;
6) Applicants are required to submit the application form by May 31st of the current year.
Recipients of the bursaries will be determined by the Executive of the SSHL and will be announced by June 30 each year. Bursaries will be paid directly to the recipient following proof of enrolment from the education institution the participant is attending. In the event the recipient does not qualify for the bursary after 4 years, the bursary will be reinvested in the bursary fund and may be awarded in future years.

Please describe why you believe you are deserving of this award. Be sure to include a summary of activities in the community and/or school that you participated in and the role you played in each event/organization. The board may also consider examples where individuals have overcome adversity to achieve their goals. *
Please submit two letters of reference from individuals who can speak to your character and who are willing to provide support for your bursary application. (Files must be in an image, document or PDF format).*
