Our Speaker on Tuesday June 9th is Margaret Larson
Magnificent Monarchs
Margaret Larson is a Master Gardener who has been working with
Monarch butterflies for 20 years. As the season progresses, she
collects eggs and caterpillars to share with others. During this
time, she teaches other monarch aficionados how to safely raise
these beautiful animals to help increase their population.
She has received many awards for her work, including the
Ontario Seniors’ Achievement Award. Her youngest enthusiast is
4 and her oldest is 100. Margaret hopes that she will still be
helping the monarch when she is 100.
