Some places are more than landscapes. They're living chapters in Canada's conservation story.
🎉 Ducks Unlimited Canada has secured the largest conservation land purchase in Manitoba’s history: the 8,167-acre East Meadows property on Lake Manitoba’s Marshy Point. The newly named Kennedy Field Station at East Meadows protects a globally significant landscape of wetlands, grasslands and waterfowl habitat while preserving an important piece of Canada’s conservation legacy.
💚 Made possible through the support of public and private donors, including Cox Enterprises and the Government of Canada’s Natural Heritage Conservation Program, this once-in-a-generation acquisition will safeguard critical habitat, advance waterfowl science and strengthen biodiversity for years to come.
📖 From its role in the recovery of the Giant Canada Goose to decades of wildlife research, East Meadows has long been a place where conservation and community intersect. We’re proud to ensure its story continues for future generations.
