To mark the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 28 Stellarton is hosting an open house celebration. On Friday, July 17th, join us from 2 pm to 6 pm for a complimentary BBQ, open to members and non-members. Activities and treats will be provided for children. In the evening, from 8 pm to 12 am, Doug Odo will host a free karaoke and dance night. This event is an ideal chance for new members to discover the legion's facilities and services, and non-members can benefit from a free legion membership during our centennial year.

Our Father's Day Dance is this Sunday June 21 from 6pm until 10 pm. Music by Andy LeBlanc. Admission $10...We have prizes for some lucky guys and we will be having a shared lunch in honor of Dad!!

To parents and grandparents of students graduating from Northumberland Regional High School this year and accepted into an accredited education program in September,, we have two, Five Hundred Dollar Bursaries available to students that meet the criteria. To day I have only received one application. You still have a couple days to get a request in . Please let your graduate know that they can get the information needed at the school and return ASAP

On Saturday, June 13, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 28 in Stellarton was privileged to welcome family members of Fallen Canadian Armed Forces heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving or due to service-related injuries and mental health challenges this century. To date, 32 brave Nova Scotian men and women have died since 2000. Approximately sixty family members, who traveled from across the province, gathered in a spirit of unity and reverence. Together with honored guests, they shared heartfelt stories and cherished photos of their beloved ones. Several family members stood tall, expressing immense pride in their loved ones' selfless service and sacrifices. Their voices trembled as they spoke of the profound grief and loss that touches every day. Representatives from the Royal Canadian Legion and other service groups reaffirmed their commitment to the families, pledging unwavering support and eternal gratitude for the sacrifices made, honoring the sacred promise to forever remember their loved ones.
