On Saturday, June 13, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 28 in Stellarton was privileged to welcome family members of Fallen Canadian Armed Forces heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving or due to service-related injuries and mental health challenges this century. To date, 32 brave Nova Scotian men and women have died since 2000. Approximately sixty family members, who traveled from across the province, gathered in a spirit of unity and reverence. Together with honored guests, they shared heartfelt stories and cherished photos of their beloved ones. Several family members stood tall, expressing immense pride in their loved ones' selfless service and sacrifices. Their voices trembled as they spoke of the profound grief and loss that touches every day. Representatives from the Royal Canadian Legion and other service groups reaffirmed their commitment to the families, pledging unwavering support and eternal gratitude for the sacrifices made, honoring the sacred promise to forever remember their loved ones.
