Part 2 of our sheep rescue! 🐑

The remaining 8 sheep arrived at Cedar Row last week and are slowly settling into their new surroundings! They’re still a little nervous, but getting more comfortable each day.

They’ve all been checked over by the vet and received their first round of vaccinations. In a couple of weeks, we’ll begin following up with some potential forever homes ❤️

On World Animal Day, let’s remember farmed animals too 🐓🦃🐷🐄❤️

They feel fear, joy and comfort. They form friendships. And their lives matter.

Every animal deserves compassion ❤️ Choose kindness. Consider going vegan. 🌱

The first stage of the 19 sheep rescue is underway!

Yesterday, 7 males arrived at Cedar Row and were picked up by Anthea, a fellow rescuer. They’ll be staying at her farm while they are neutered and recover before heading to their safe, permanent homes.

The remaining 12 females will be arriving at Cedar Row next week.

A big first step for these 19 sheep, and we’re so grateful to everyone helping make this rescue possible. ❤️

Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the children who never came home, the Survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities 🧡

At Cedar Row, compassion and respect are at the heart of what we stand for. Today is a day to listen, to learn, and to acknowledge the truth of Canada’s residential school system and its lasting impact on Indigenous families and communities.

Every child matters 🧡
