It seems everyone has an opinion or a suggestion about how to deal with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. Try this diet. Eat this food. Don't do this thing. Try this herbal thing - it'll cure you. It's all in your head. It's the same as irritable bowel syndrome. Or you'll receive sympathy and hear a lot about how sorry they are that you're dealing with that - it must be so hard.

How do you handle the bad or misinformed "advice" or sympathy from those who aren't affected by IBD?
