Belonging doesn't happen by accident. It happens when communities create space for people to contribute.

This is one of the reasons ININ Inc. exists!

Many immigrants come to Newfoundland and Labrador looking for opportunity.

What they often discover first is uncertainty.

New systems.
New rules.
New expectations.

Yet every day, immigrants across this province are starting businesses, raising families, strengthening workplaces, volunteering, and contributing to our communities.

They are not just settling.

They are helping build Newfoundland and Labrador.

What's one piece of advice you would give a newcomer arriving today?

Newcomer Resource of the Week!

Introducing the 10 Principles for a Prosperous Future in Newfoundland and Labrador, your financial compass for Life in NL.

While originally designed by ININ Inc. with newcomers in mind for the event, these principles are relevant for everyone, whether you're just arriving, building your career, raising a family, planning for retirement, or simply looking to make better financial decisions.

Because financial success isn't about where you started, it's about the habits, choices, and knowledge you build along the way.

A prosperous future starts with understanding the system and making it work for you.

One of the reasons many newcomers miss community events is childcare.

For Building Futures Together, we wanted to do something different.

Instead of seeing children as a barrier to participation, we saw them as part of the community we are building.

And we're so glad we did.

As parents learned about budgeting, credit, debt, and investing, children were also present, listening, observing, asking questions, and engaging in conversations about money and financial decision-making.

It was a powerful reminder that financial literacy is not just for adults. The habits, mindset, and understanding that lead to financial well-being can start much earlier than we think.

Building stronger futures means supporting the whole family.

At ININ, we believe inclusion means creating spaces where everyone belongs, and where learning can happen across generations.

There is something powerful about a room filled with people who believe that immigrants belong, contribute, and matter.

At Building Futures Together, we saw newcomers, community leaders, professionals, allies, and partners come together, not just to attend an event, but to build connection, understanding, and opportunity together.

To every immigrant navigating a new system while still holding onto dreams, purpose, and resilience: keep going. Your presence, your skills, your story, and your contribution matter deeply to this province.

And to every ally, organization, and community member choosing to support inclusion and belonging in tangible ways: thank you for helping create communities where people can truly thrive.

Stronger communities are built when we grow together.

We are grateful to Stephen Nej photography for capturing the incredible moments.

Through his work, Kagumba Andrew - PhD is helping to create cultural connection, opportunity, and a stronger sense of belonging for others.

At Insight Nexus Integration Network, we believe that recognition is not just about acknowledgment, it is about strengthening community identity.
