Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the children who never returned home from residential schools, the Survivors, and the families and communities who continue to carry the impacts of this history. At Woolwich Community Health Centre, we recognize that reconciliation is an ongoing commitment that requires learning, listening, reflection, and action.
As we wear orange and reflect on the message that Every Child Matters, we encourage our community to take time to learn about Indigenous histories and perspectives, listen to Indigenous voices, and consider how each of us can contribute to a more equitable and inclusive future.
We acknowledge that we live and work on the traditional territories of the Attawandaron, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee Peoples, and we remain committed to advancing truth, reconciliation, and health equity in our community.
