We had a great day in the woods today doing a bushcraft workshop for newcomers -- learning about medicinal and edible plants, fire starting, hiking etiquette, and wildlife safety. The cohort had great attitudes and the weather stayed in our favor today.

A common question we are getting about Heritage Days is regarding the purchase of food tickets.

Although the event is free to enter and participate in the very high quality entertainment and kids' corner, in order to sample the food you will need tickets. Tickets are only available at the event.

Tickets are cash only and are $3 each. Food samples from the 6 food vendors will vary from $3-$12 per plate based on quantity and price to produce.

For example: a spring roll might cost 1 ticket, but a plate of butter chicken, rice and naan might cost 4 tickets.

Join us for Heritage Days 2026 this Saturday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Northern Lakes College Gym for an afternoon packed with incredible food, live entertainment, cultural performances, and fun for the whole family.
