Shelburne Longboat Society The care, use and maintenance of two 18th century wooden longboats.

The Shelburne Longboat Society was created to carry on the legacy of the Loyalist Landing 2008 celebrations. The Society was incorporated under the Nova Scotia Registry of Joint Stock Companies on 7th August, 2008 as a non-profit volunteer organization. The Shelburne Longboat Society has two objectives:
• The care, maintenance, management, ownership and use of two wooden 18th Century Replica Long

boats built for, and as part of, the Loyalist Landing 2008 celebrations
• To promote an educational component that will enhance and advance the Shelburne County heritage for building wooden boats
