Let's Talk - Back to School!

Whether your child is starting school for the first time, entering a new grade, or simply finding the transition challenging, Let’s Talk – Back to School is a chance to connect, reflect, and prepare for a positive start to the school year together.

This informal discussion group offers a welcoming space to share experiences, ask questions, and connect with other families navigating the transition from summer routines back to school schedules.

We will have resources available and talk about common back-to-school challenges, including:

- Creating morning and bedtime routines
- Managing anxiety and big emotions
- Supporting children with transitions and new classrooms
- Encouraging positive school habits
- Packing lunches, organizing supplies, and reducing stress for the whole family
- Supporting neurodiverse children and children who may find school transitions especially difficult

Plus, everyone who registers will get a bag of school-safe snacks to help make that first week just a little less stressful!

The Let Your Light Shine Jevon Link Society, the Jocelyn Stewart Foundation, and Aidean’s Place are coming together for World Su***de Prevention Day on September 10, 2026. 💜🩵

We are coming together to support one another, our families, and our communities.

We come together to remember the people we have lost to su***de, to stand beside those who are struggling, and to remind each other that no one should have to face difficult times alone.

Su***de can take someone from us before we even realize what is happening. It can leave families and communities standing in a pile of rubble, trying to figure out how to rebuild a life around such an unimaginable loss.

But together, we can help build something different.
A community where we talk openly.
A community where asking, “Are you okay?” is normal.
A community where people know where to turn for support.
A community where no one has to carry their pain alone.

Join us as we walk, remember, listen, support, and bring hope into our communities. 💜🩵

More information will be posted as we continue working toward this special day.

Every Step Matters.
