Everyone is welcome to join the Shelburne County Multicultural Association for the 2nd Annual Welcome Neighbours Community Event! 🌎🤝

This free community potluck is an opportunity to welcome newcomers and connect with neighbours from across our community while celebrating the many cultures that make Shelburne County such a vibrant and welcoming place.

🚨 FREE safeTALK Training – May 5th 🚨

Join us from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Barrington Community Centre for this important half-day training focused on recognizing when someone may be struggling and how to connect them to help in our community. 💛

Participants will learn how to notice signs, respond with confidence, and apply the TALK steps: Tell, Ask, Listen, and KeepSafe. Plus, you’ll leave with a certificate of completion!

Together, we’ll explore how our biological, psychological, social, and spiritual health all play a role in our overall wellbeing—and learn simple, practical ways to support ourselves in each area.

Wishing a happy National Volunteer Week to all our Community Health Board members, our community partners, and all volunteers in Shelburne County who work to make our communities healthier and happier.

We want to spotlight our CHB Chair, Davie Hartley for his role not only on the CHB but the connections he brings from other volunteer involvement in community.

Davie took on the role of outreach to folks in community to get them out and participating in our Kitchen Table Community Engagement sessions and continues to help facilitate further engagement. Check out our volunteer spotlight to hear more from Davie about his education and volunteer background, and his role on the Shelburne County CHB!
