Sharing a project being coordinated by Inclusion Selkirk (Interlake Connections) and Red River North CTS.

Inclusion Selkirk is pleased to announce we have applied for a grant and have been awarded funding from The Province of Manitoba to focus on strengthening family support in the Interlake area.
Inclusion Selkirk has developed the group INTERLAKE CONNECTIONS and will be working with Red River North Counselling Therapy Services to coordinate the project. The project consists of monthly sessions in different areas of the Interlake, discussing topics identified by families.

Interlake Connections has coordinated with Family Advocacy Network to offer meetings in conjunction with one another. With information sessions from 6-8, Interlake connections will present information and lead discussions with topics identified by families. And following this session from 8-9, Family Advocacy Network will host their meeting. Access to respite supports will be available for people that register in advance.

For families that have dependents who have already transitioned into adulthood, you are still encouraged to attend as this is a good opportunity to share your experiences with families who are beginning their journey. The purpose of this group is to connect families with one another to learn and grow together through shared experiences.

We look forward to connecting with many families through Interlake Connections and supporting families to build a network throughout the Interlake.

Government of Canada - Renewals for the 2025-26 coverage period are now open to currently enrolled Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) members.

The CDCP is helping make the cost of dental care more affordable for eligible Canadian residents.

Applications now open for:

- Seniors aged 65 and over
- Children under the age of 18
- Adults with a valid federal Disability Tax Credit certificate for 2023
- Be a Canadian resident for tax purposes
- Have filed their taxes for the previous year
- Have an adjusted family net income of less than $90,000 per year
- Not have access to private or employer/pension sponsored dental coverage
