EYC’s Paul Kantor won the recent Down the Lake Race on his 90th birthday! 🎉

EYC awarded Paul a lifetime membership a few years back. He has taught many of us how to sail! 🫡

Spring Series is upon us! 🤩

⛵ Keelboat Racing Returns This Weekend! ⛵

This weekend marks the start of the 2026 Spring Series Keelboat Race, hosted by Sunshine Bay Yacht Club and in partnership with the Edmonton Yacht Club.

Racing will take place on June 13 and June 20, bringing a fleet of sailboats to the lake for two exciting days of competition.

If you're out enjoying the water and notice a group of sailboats all sailing in a similar pattern or making coordinated turns around markers, chances are you're watching the racers in action!

For everyone's safety:
⛵ Give racing boats plenty of space when possible
⛵ Be aware that competitors may be focused on race tactics and other nearby boats
⛵ Enjoy the opportunity to watch some of Alberta's sailors compete on the water

We wish all participants fair winds and good racing throughout the Spring Series!
